Charles Drew Health Center, Inc. has been instrumental in developing programs that are geared towards the healthcare needs of the whole family. From our aging population to our infants and even to conception. With a diverse population and continually evolving population with unique needs and cultural complexities we continually adjust to, not only meet the health needs of the community but, provide a delivery system that syncopates with each group we serve. We assess the barriers of language, behavioral, economic and geographic factors and find unique ways to overcome those elements to forward any treatment to assure their success in their healthcare path. Although we are serving an ever growing culturally diverse community, our longtime target area is constantly encouraged to move towards healthier lifestyles and decisions. Both efforts; continuing to provide excellent healthcare that matches the needs of the community and, providing a delivery system that assures our patients' success, is the core of our purpose and mission.

Join our 8-Week Anger Management Therapy Group held every Thursday from March 26 – May 14, 5:30 – 7:00 PM at our Teen & Young Adult Health Center (5920 Maple Street).

This 90-minute interactive group uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help you build practical coping strategies, improve communication skills, and develop a personalized anger control plan you can use in everyday life.

Led by Black Mamas Matter Alliance, this week uplifts the movement to improve maternal health outcomes for Black mothers and families.

This year’s theme, “Rooted in Justice & Joy,” honors the leadership of Black community organizations working every day to advance equity and lasting change in Black maternal health.
