Restore Physical Therapy

Restore Physical Therapy We specialize in Postural Restoration (PRI) to treat the body as a whole. We utilize a treatment philosophy called Postural Restoration.

Restore Physical Therapy is a full service physical therapy clinic specializing in the treatment of chronic pain and movement dysfunction. Postural Restoration focuses on identifying and correcting asymmetrical movement patterns which greatly affect body position and function. Treatment includes exercises which promote more symmetrical movement patterns and muscle balance. Breathing is a large part of the treatment regimen. More efficient and symmetrical respiration greatly affects spine and rib cage movement and allows for greater flexibility and motion. We treat a variety of conditions including, but not limited to: back pain, neck pain, joint pain (hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, and more), headaches, jaw pain (TMJ and TMD), and balance dysfunction.

Did you know that ankle sprains, even old ones, can contribute to CURRENT knee, hip, and low back pain.
Ankle sprains often result in a lack of motion needed for walking. Dorsiflexion is the movement of bringing your toes up toward your head. We NEED this motion in order to propel ourselves forward when we take a step. This motion gets limited after an ankle sprain, which leads to you will not be able to extend through your hip to use your glute and hamstring muscles efficiently to generate power.
Over time this can often result in moderate hip weakness which, in turn, can contribute to hip bursitis, IT band syndrome, or low back pain.
