...BREAKING! We’re joining forces!

Wildflower Collective and Goldenrod Counseling are coming together under one name and one roof!

It all started when Natalie and Nicole met at an ethics training, sparking a friendship and mutual support as our practices grew. One random Zoom meeting later, the idea of merging began to bloom.

Starting September 1, we’ll officially be one team, offering even more expertise, expanded capacity, and the same personalized care you’ve come to know and trust.

📍New location:
Wildflower Collective

So many women say they felt blindsided by perimenopause. The truth is, there’s no one “right” way it shows up. And for many, the changes can feel confusing, scary, or even isolating.

We want to hear from YOU:
👉 What’s one thing you wish you had known before entering perimenopause?

Your insight might be exactly what another woman needs to hear today. 💜

Ever catch yourself thinking, “Something’s wrong with me…am I developing ADHD? Anxiety? Why can’t I focus like I used to?”

You’re not broken - you might be entering perimenopause.

Hormones can play tricks on your mood, sleep, and focus, and it’s normal to feel like you don’t recognize yourself some days.

The important part? You don’t have to push through it alone. Our therapists specialize in helping women through this stage of life, with real support and strategies that make a difference.

Drop a 🌸 if you’ve ever felt like this! Let’s remind each other we’re not alone.

If your teen randomly says “Skibidi dop dop yes yes” - don’t panic.
You’ve entered the world of Skibidi Toilet.

What Is It?
It started in early 2023 as an absurd YouTube video, featuring a toilet with a human head popping out, singing a nonsense song.

But it didn’t stop there. It grew into a full-on YouTube Shorts and TikTok series with bizarre storylines:

Skibidi Toilets vs. Cameramen vs. Speakermen

Action scenes, sci-fi plots, strange battles

Meme culture: remix videos, catchphrases, and more

Why Teens Love It:

It’s weird. Like, intentionally brain-rot weird.

It’s non-serious and easy to binge.

It’s shared socially - memes, inside jokes, group chats.

🛋️ Therapy Perspective:
Trends like this often offer kids a way to zone out when life feels overwhelming. Humor, absurdity, and repetition can feel comforting — but they can also be a sign that someone is disconnecting a little too much.

Try asking:
“When you watch that, does it help you feel better or just help you forget stuff for a while?”

Sometimes weird internet humor is just that. Sometimes it’s a clue.

Freshly out of college at the age of 25, living hundreds of miles away from her family, she sat alone receiving her third round of chemotherapy treatment for her recently diagnosed cancer. As the poison dripped through the IV into her body, feeling scared and alone, Emily had an epiphany - “I am going to get through this and help other people.”

And that is exactly what she’s done.

Emily’s favorite part of being a therapist is seeing clients' lives change as they overcome their challenges, become empowered to change, and find a new vitality. As Emily’s client, you can expect to feel seen, heard, and validated through Emily’s warmth and understanding. In the safety of Emily’s presence, her clients can be vulnerable and brave as they learn, endure, and grow.

If you are looking for a therapist who can understand your experience, radiates warmth, and will challenge you to grow into the best version of yourself, Emily is the therapist for you.

Translation? Sometimes teens use humor or big dream energy to cover up stress, insecurity, or disappointment.

“I know I’m gonna marry my celeb crush..so delulu rn.”

“Me making up entire scenarios in my head: Delulu is the solulu.”

It looks like they’re just joking, and they probably are. But for some teens, it can be about avoiding tough feelings.

👉 When does playful imagination turn into emotional avoidance?
👉 When does laughing things off mean something deeper is going on?

Parent tip:
If your teen is constantly using phrases like “delulu,” it might be a subtle sign they need help sorting through real feelings underneath the joke. It can also be a great time to talk about joking about mental health.

You’ve probably seen this clip: a kid in sunglasses leading a boat while everyone else paddles like crazy.

That’s aura farming...aka collecting good vibes, building up your energy, and projecting confidence - super cool 😎

For teens, this can mean hyping themselves up before big events.

It’s also a reminder: what “aura” you put out is often connected to how you really feel inside. When teens comment on each other’s aura, they’re tuning into emotions. This is a good opportunity to talk to your teen about those feelings.

“Aura” means: A person’s vibe or energy - how they come across emotionally.

“Farming” means: Repeating an action to collect or build up as much of something as possible.

💡Parent Tip - Try asking:

“What vibe are you putting out today, and how do you feel?’”

“What helps you feel like you have good energy or confidence today?”

Sometimes it’s just a meme. Sometimes it’s about self-esteem. Either way, it's always about communicating.

Pride Month may have ended yesterday, but the message doesn’t stop there.

🌈 Pride isn’t just a celebration - it’s a way of living.

As we step into July, we carry that same energy forward:
Live with pride.
