While traveling I learned that Iceland is growing approximately 2cm in size per year due to new magma forming land. And at the same time, losing land due to erosion from the ocean. It was a good reminder that life is all about growing into something new, and removing what no longer serves us.

I was awake during sunrise on a trip recently and took this photo. Not the best example of photography, but the right side was pitch dark and the sun was starting to peek through on the left. It was a good reminder that no matter how dark things are, lighter times will return.
