DCHC observed a memorial service on Thursday, April 23rd, to commemorate the residents who departed in March, graciously featuring musical contributions from employee Shawntel and resident Rena.

The Douglas County Health Center is excited to partner with the Alzheimer's Association to offer two informative programs regarding Alzheimer's and dementia. These sessions will cover the differences between the two conditions, stages of the diseases, risk factors, and available resources. We will also discuss detection, the benefits of early diagnosis, and available tests and assessments and more important information.

No registration is necessary. This is open to the public. The details are listed below.

HAPPY ST PADDY’S DAY from DCHC!! No alcohol during working hours so we celebrated with lime flavored ice cream and popcorn with pickle flavored seasoning (other flavors and seasoning were available if they werent feeling the “GREEN”)!

We’re feeling the “LUCK OF THE IRISH” today and everyday! We have “GOLDEN” employees who provide a “MAGICAL” home for our residents!!

Here’s wishing everyone a “POT O’GOLD” some where over the “RAINBOW”.

The Douglas County Health Center (DCHC) recently hosted an Employee Appreciation Day to recognize their dedication and committment to our residents. Food Services provided a delicious selection of hors d'oeuvres for the occasion, and employees were encouraged to gather and celebrate with their coworkers.

The Douglas County Health Center Foundation recently provided free pizza for the Health Center staff. We are truly grateful for the Foundation’s continued support of our facility and our team.

Our dedicated staff serves across many departments, including Nursing & MDS, Food Service, Environmental Services, Billing, Recreational Therapy, Therapy, Pharmacy, Security, Staff Development, Recruitment, Social Services, and Medical Records. Your contributions make a significant impact on their work and the quality of care we provide.

The competition was close for the Pumpkin Carving Contest but the winners are.......

Thanks to all the employees and residents who entered the contest. We had a record number of votes this year and the votes were close in both categories. Winners receive a pizza party!
