WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: On November 7, the Supreme Court will privately consider whether to take up a case that involves marriage equality. We are closely monitoring this development and we will never stop fighting for our rights and freedoms.

Early next month, as expected, the court will privately discuss a petition from Kim Davis. While her petition continues her obsession with overturning marriage equality, it is mostly about damages and attorney fees. If the justices decline to hear Davis’ case, that decision could be made public as early as November 10.

REMEMBER: Marriage rights for same-sex and in*******al couples are protected at the federal level, regardless of the Court’s decision, because of the tireless work by lawmakers and advocates to pass the Respect for Marriage Act in 2022.

We know extremists won’t stop coming for our marriages. To stop their efforts, we must share our stories, just like we did to win marriage equality. Share yours: hrc.im/YourStory
