This handsome young man was our first patient to be fit in the new Stellest lenses!
Stellest lenses are a type of spectacle lens designed to slow the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in children. They use a technology called Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target (H.A.L.T.), which consists of over 1,000 tiny lenslets arranged in concentric rings, to create a peripheral blur that signals the eye to slow down growth.
We are so excited to see the impact these lenses will have in the long term ocular health of our young patients!

Julie Walter, O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Julie Walter was raised in the small town of Diller, Nebraska. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. From there she headed to Bloomington, Indiana and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry.

Having received her first pair of glasses in second grade, the field of optometry piqued her interest at a young age. Dr. Walter feels there is no better way to have an impact on someone’s life than giving them a better view of the world around them. Dr. Walter is passionate about providing personalized care with optimal vision for each patient. She wants all of her patients to experience life seeing with the highest quality of vision possible.
