💜As we move through Do Good Days, we’re reflecting on the heart of CHD’s work and why community support matters now more than ever. Every day, our team sees the deep connection between mental health, family stability, and overall well‑being. When someone is struggling with stress, trauma, or emotional overwhelm, it affects every part of their life, their relationships, their ability to work, their sense of hope, and the well‑being of their children. These challenges don’t happen in isolation, and neither does healing.

💜Do Good Days is an opportunity for our community to stand behind that mission. So far, we’ve raised $1,381 toward our $2,500 goal and we are deeply grateful. Reaching our full goal will allow us to strengthen our programs, expand support for families, and continue responding to the growing mental‑health needs in our community.

If you haven’t had a chance to give yet, there’s still time. Whether it’s a one‑time gift or a monthly donation, your support moves us closer to a healthier, more resilient community.

Last weeks tragic incident in Omaha involving a woman in crisis and a young child has shaken our community. Our hearts are with everyone impacted.

Our CEO, Doris Moore, sat down with John Chapman of WOWT Channel 6 News to discuss the deeper issues behind this event, including the urgent need for expanded mental health services, long‑term care options, and systems that support individuals who struggle to stay connected to treatment.

Our community deserves care, safety, and solutions, not stigma.

Thank you 6 News WOWT for highlighting this issue.

The tragic death of an Omaha woman with a history of mental health brings to light the lack of health care facilities in the metro area, especially for people who need extended care.
