Happy National Puzzle Day! 🧩

To celebrate, we stopped by a few of our residential homes to see those we serve enjoying all kinds of fun puzzles, everything from holiday scenes to beautiful nature themes! It’s wonderful to see how puzzles and games bring everyone together, encourage teamwork, boost problem-solving skills and make every day a little brighter.

Having games and puzzles around our houses is a great way to socialize, relax, and keep our minds active. Some even find doing puzzles helps them cope when things get a bit overwhelming. Here’s to more fun moments and building sharp, resilient minds!

One person shared, “I learned to look at the nutrition labels of everything I eat as well as research different recipes to cook at home. I also learned how to make a My Action Plan (MAP) to keep track of my goals and hold myself accountable to achieve them!”

It's National Pharmacist Day!! We are grateful to partner with Genoa Healthcare to have a pharmacy on-site. This makes it easy for those we serve to attend their appointments and then pick up any needed medications in the same place.

None of this would be possible without pharmacists who work each day to ensure clients receive their prescriptions, understand how to take them, and answer any health questions people may have. They are an important part of the team in ensuring those we serve achieve the best physical and mental health outcomes.

We’re excited to launch our new Feel Good Friday series! Each week in January, we’ll be sharing uplifting stories from people who joined our six-week Living Well program, where they discovered helpful tips about managing chronic health conditions, diabetes and heart health. We love seeing those we serve grow and leave with more confidence, new knowledge and skills to care for their health while navigating mental health or substance use challenges.

One participant shared: "I experience ailments that affect my daily life, making it challenging to maintain my mental health. This Living Well class provided an opportunity for further education and reinforced the importance of engaging in physical activity. As a strong advocate for myself, I have learned to find balance while managing my chronic pain symptoms. This program experience was incredibly helpful, and I had the chance to meet new people! Additionally, I encourage myself to refer back to the information learned and remember that Anthony and Nora are supportive individuals to be around."

Stay tuned each week to be motivated and inspired by these journeys throughout the month!

Our organization recently gathered to celebrate both the holiday season and the completion of our recent survey conducted by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), a recognized accrediting body in behavioral health. The survey took place this week and included a comprehensive review of our policies and procedures, staff and client interviews and more to ensure our organization meets the high-quality, globally recognized care standards set by CARF.

We are looking forward to hearing more about our future results, which reflect our ongoing dedication to service excellence and continuous improvement. We extend our sincere appreciation to our team for their unwavering commitment and daily contributions as we continue to serve those in our community.

Positive Actions. Positive Outcomes.

Community Alliance makes positive outcomes possible through an integrated, whole-person approach to mental health care. It is recovery in action, built on a continuum of care, service, and support. Psychiatric and Counseling services integrate seamlessly with Primary Health Care services, all of which are supported by a full range of proven effective rehabilitation, employment and community programs.

Every person gets what they need, and the high-quality care they deserve.

In fact, Community Alliance has earned top tier national accreditation scores for care quality, which plays a crucial role in our positive outcomes. But the most positive result we offer to people who struggle with mental illness and other mental health challenges is the knowledge and belief that recovery, put into action, becomes a daily reality.
