In spirit of the season, we made Irish Soda Bread today. Sheri Grove volunteered to teach it, using her knowledge of the recipe to do so. She’s been making Irish Soda Bread for many years and it’s a staple in her household, especially this time of year. After trying it, it may become a new fan favorite recipe ☘️

Yesterday we celebrated Spread The Word to End The Word, a campaign to bring awareness to how harmful the “R” word is. We watched videos and discussed ways to bring awareness. Then, everyone took the pledge, discussed ways to create change in our community and wrote positive shout outs on our new board.

Today is a day of celebration for us at The Vessel Network! 🎉

We opened doors for our day services one year ago today. Back then, we started with 3 clients, one room, one calendar, some dreams and a team ready to make this place one of a kind.

Since then, we have grown more than we could’ve imagined in just a year. We started respite, culinary, day hab, and opened our woodshop. Individuals now choose between 3 daily calendars which increases ownership over their lives.

We have also grown from 3 to 38 individuals! We couldn’t be happier with how our first year went and are ready to make year 2 even better. Thank you to our community and supporters. Let’s keep growing!
