Midweek check-in 🙌

This Wellness Wednesday To-Do List is a reminder that caring for your mental health doesn’t have to be complicated. Spend time outside, slow down with a good book, check in with your emotions, and make space for rest. Small, intentional moments of self-care can make a meaningful difference.

A few of our staff members had the honor of attending the Nebraska City Tourism & Commerce Annual Banquet last night, and we’re incredibly grateful to have been recognized with a Partnership Award for our involvement with the Chamber this year.

Being part of a community that values connection, collaboration, and support means so much to us. As a mental health organization, we believe strong communities play a vital role in overall wellbeing, and we are proud to partner with others who are working to make Nebraska City such a special place to live and grow.

Thank you to the Nebraska City Tourism & Commerce for this recognition and for the work you do to bring local businesses and organizations together. We are truly thankful for the Nebraska City community and look forward to continuing to support our small town and the surrounding areas. 💙

Stigma grows when mental health is kept in the shadows but healing begins when we talk about it. As therapists, we see every day how silence can deepen shame and delay support, while open, compassionate conversations create connection and hope. 🫶🏼

Sharing stories, using respectful language, and creating spaces where people feel accepted helps break down barriers to care. Mental health matters, and no one should feel alone in navigating it. If you or someone you love needs support, reaching out to us today at 402-590-2947.

Anxiety is more than worry. It’s the racing heart in the middle of the night, the constant restlessness even when things seem “fine,” the panic over small decisions, and replaying every conversation in your mind. It can be invisible, exhausting, and deeply real. 💭

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to shine a light on the many ways anxiety can show up and remind you that you’re not alone. Noticing the signs and talking about them is a powerful first step. 🗣️There is strength in saying, “I’m not okay.”

If anxiety is impacting you, we’re here to help. Reach out to us today at 402-590-2947. You don’t have to carry this alone.

🎉 Welcome to our Papillion Team, Maggie! 🎉

We’re so excited to welcome Maggie to our team! Originally from the suburbs of Chicago (and a big Chicago sports fan!), Maggie moved to Omaha in 2017 and earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Creighton University. She went on to complete her Master’s in Social Work with a clinical focus at the University of Kentucky.

During graduate school, Maggie completed her internship at Remedy Health, where she gained experience using evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Maggie works with clients ages 13 and up, bringing a direct, compassionate approach to sessions. She is dedicated to meeting clients where they are, helping them develop coping skills tailored to their individual needs, and providing a supportive, safe space. Her goal is for every client to feel more comfortable and confident in their daily lives.

Please join us in giving Maggie a warm welcome—we’re so happy to have you here! 😁

It’s Mental Wellness Month! 💐🧠

Mental Wellness Month in January encourages awareness, understanding, and proactive care for mental health. It highlights the importance of reducing stigma, promoting healthy coping strategies, and fostering environments where individuals feel supported.

Mental wellness encompasses how we think, feel, and interact with others. It plays a vital role in our ability to manage stress, make decisions, and maintain overall well-being—deserving the same care and attention as physical health.

As we step into a new year, take a moment to reflect and look ahead—what are you most excited for this year? 🌱
