Sen. Deb Fischer visited the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute on Friday, touring the state-of-the-art facility and meeting with MMI Director Karoly Mirnics, MD, PhD, and UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD.

The tour showcased how MMI is transforming the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Nebraska.

The UNMC College of Allied Health Professions is marking 10 years since it became UNMC’s sixth college on July 1, 2015.

Dean Kyle Meyer, PhD, reflects, “Our faculty, staff and students have accomplished so much in just 10 short years. But we have not done it on our own. I am overwhelmed by the vision and generosity of our benefactors.”
