Some moments change everything.
I know this because I’ve lived it.

After losing my mother to drinking and driving, I turned to alcohol to cope with my grief.
At one point in my life, I was a full-blown alcoholic myself.

Recovery didn’t just change my habits — it changed the entire direction of my life.

Today, I’m honoring the woman whose story became the foundation of Infinite Avenues Counseling.

My mom, Tamara Sue Meadows-Braswell, passed away in 2008 in a drinking-and-driving accident. Her life, her struggles, and the pain of losing her are the reason I do the work I do today.

When I speak with clients who are navigating addiction, grief, trauma, or generational cycles they never asked for, I do it with lived empathy — because I’ve been there.
My mother’s story pushed me to create something that didn’t exist for us when we needed it:
A safe place for people who are hurting.
A place to break cycles, not repeat them.
A place for hope, healing, and second chances.

I opened Infinite Avenues Counseling in 2019 because of her.
Every client I support, every assessment I complete, every person who finds clarity or healing — it’s all part of the legacy that grew from her life.

Jessica Segoviano, BS, LADC, CDGC is the owner and lead counselor at Infinite Avenues Counseling in Omaha, Nebraska, where she provides compassionate, evidence-based care for adults navigating substance use and problem gambling. Jessica founded Infinite Avenues in 2018 to create a welcoming space where people in recovery can learn, share, and grow, offering evaluations, education classes, outpatient therapy, and intensive outpatient (IOP) services. 

A Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Problem Gambling counselor (CDGC), Jessica is also an approved provider within Nebraska’s court and probation system for services including substance use evaluations, outpatient treatment (individual, family, and group), and IOP. 

Jessica’s commitment to this work is both professional and personal. She began speaking on Victim Impact Panels in 2009 after losing her mother to a drunk-driving crash, and—after her own recovery journey—pursued licensure in 2015 so she could walk alongside others seeking change. Clients describe her style as real, direct, and deeply supportive—focused on practical tools, accountability, and hope.

Today, Infinite Avenues serves the greater Omaha community with accessible, client-centered care for substance use and gambling, coordinated as needed with the courts and community partners. Whether someone is taking an early step with a professional evaluation or building long-term recovery in therapy or IOP, Jessica meets people exactly where they are—and helps them move toward where they want to be.
