How does the matching process work?
It’s one of our most frequently asked questions — and for good reason.

At Alora, the process is personal and thoughtful.
We begin by ensuring your home meets the requirements to become a host provider. From there, we take time to get to know you: your lifestyle, whether you have kids or pets, if you’re into concerts or prefer peaceful weekends outdoors.

We do the same with individuals seeking support, learning about their daily needs, routines, interests, and preferences. Some may need hands-on medical support, while others are independent, social, and active in the community.

Then comes the heart of what we do: intentional matching. We bring people together based on compatibility, shared interests, and support needs — because there’s no one “right” home, only the right fit.

You bring your compassion and reliability; we provide the training, teamwork, and ongoing support you need to feel confident in the role.

As a DSP, you’ll support people with everyday routines, community activities, and goal-focused skill building, always in a way that honors their choices and independence. This work is about real relationships, real inclusion, and helping someone feel truly at home in their community.
