Based on some of the messages I’ve been getting, I don’t think we fully understand what a mental health retreat actually is.😂 The “who’s all going to be there” or “I just wanted to travel. I don’t want to come if it’s in Nebraska” is sending me! 🤣🤦🏾‍♀️

Y’all… it’s not ladies’ night. It’s not a girls’ trip. We’re not just out here sipping mimosas in matching pajamas (although we might do that too 😏)

A retreat is intentional. It’s therapy meets transformation with a splash of laughter and sisterhood in between.

When you come to one of my retreats, yes, we have fun. We laugh, we dance, we eat good, we take cute pictures. But we also go there. We talk. We heal. We face ourselves.
And we always leave better than we came.

Even when the Retreat Club (Level 2) goes out of town, those adventures serve a purpose. Whether we’re dancing, trying something new, or exploring a new city, it’s about building confidence, deepening connection, and expanding what freedom feels like.

And one more thing… the focus shouldn’t be on who else is coming. This experience is about you. Your growth. Your healing. Your peace. You’ll meet amazing women, but the goal is to connect with yourself first.

So no, it’s not a “turn up”. It’s a space created to help you find yourself again and have fun while doing it. 💕

If you’re ready to laugh, grow, and leave lighter, Awaken is for you 🌸

🌸 AWAKEN WOMEN’S RETREAT | January 23–25, 2026🌸

Alright ladies… it’s that time again! 💕
The next Awaken Women’s Retreat is happening right here in Nebraska on a peaceful acreage, cozy, private, and full of good energy. (The November retreat is full)

Each woman gets her own room, and all meals, room, and board are covered. No hidden costs, no stressing, just show up ready to reset, reflect, and have a good time.

This weekend is all about:
✨ Rediscovering who you are at your core
✨ Resetting and refocusing for the new year
✨ Building sisterhood, laughter, and real connection

And just to be clear, this isn’t your average “sit in a circle and meditate all weekend” type of retreat. Oh no. We’re going to heal and have fun. You’ll laugh, you’ll reflect, you might even dance a little, because freedom and joy are part of the process too!

This is a Level One Retreat.
To join the Level Two (out-of-state) retreat, you’ll need to attend Level One. Everyone doesn’t travel well together, and I’m very intentional about protecting this space. You don’t want to go out of town with strangers and feel stuck! This weekend lets us grow together first.

💖 Only 10 spots available (6 now)
💲 Cost: $600 | Reserve your spot with a $250 deposit

If you’re ready to awaken your identity, reconnect with your joy, and end the year feeling free and full, this is your sign.

One thing I always say is you can't focus on healing when you're just trying to survive.

That's why I'm so proud of our Nurture and Thrive program at TRC. Because of the funding we received from I Be Black Girl, we've been able to remove some of the real-life barriers that stop people from prioritizing their mental health.

Maslow teaches us that if your basic needs aren't met, you literally can't focus on anything else. And it's true. You can't process trauma when you're worried about where you're sleeping, how you're eating, or if you’re even safe.

But now, thanks to this support, our clients are able to come in and focus on the focus. They can show up for themselves in therapy because the foundation is being handled. That’s what real support looks like.

Thank you I Be Black Girl for seeing us, believing in this work, and helping us make space for people to heal for real.

Feeling like you want a social life, but don't really like being social? Well, here's the solution!

Introducing:

🖤 THE ANTI-SOCIAL SOCIAL CLUB🖤
For women who crave community… but not the crowd😅

Let’s be real:Making new friends as an adult is hard. Small talk is exhausting, and sometimes, you just want to vent without putting on real pants. 😩

This isn’t a workshop. There’s no curriculum. Just a group of women who get it, sharing stories, laughter, and support over tacos. 🌮

If you’re tired of peopling but still want connection, this space is for you!
Come as you are. Say what you feel. Leave lighter than you came.

No pressure. No fluff. Just real women, real talk… and tacos.

Hey, you're going to need dinner anyway! Why not eat for free and meet some cool people!

Myself and some of the other ladies will be heading to Chicago for the Release Your Inhibitions Retreat a few days later! Come hang out and find out what else you've been missing out on! ***THIS EVENT IS COMPLETELY FREE***

Today we celebrate FREEDOM. 🖤❤️💚

Juneteenth — a day that honors the end of slavery in the United States.
A day that reminds us that freedom, justice, and equality are earned, fought for, and must be protected.
A day to honor the resilience of our ancestors — and to reflect on the work still ahead.

At The Relationship Corner, we believe healing is a form of liberation.
When we tend to our mental health...
When we break cycles of trauma...
When we reclaim our joy...
We honor their fight — and carry their legacy forward.

So today, we celebrate:
✨ Freedom.
✨ Healing.
✨ Black joy.
✨ Black excellence.
✨ Black futures.

Happy Juneteenth. 🖤💚❤️

EXCUSE ME!!! I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT — we’re rebranding for our 5-year anniversary!

Over the past five years, we’ve grown, evolved, and expanded our mission — and now it’s time to make it crystal clear:

Who we are. What we do. And why it matters.

✨ The Relationship Corner (TRC) is a nonprofit mental health & wellness organization specializing in healing relational trauma and promoting whole-person wellness.

We’re proud to do therapy differently — with programs rooted in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and focused on meeting people where they are.

There is ONE therapist who works FOR TRC — that’s me! 👋🏿
✅ Marriage & Family Therapist
✅ S*x & Intimacy Coach
✅ Drug & Alcohol Counselor

I bring all of those lenses into our work — because people are complex, healing is layered, and no single approach works for everyone. I am NOT very clinical. I don't use buzz words or terms. I build relationships and have real conversations that anyone can understand because healing shouldn't go "over your head".

There are others housed in the building, but they work for themselves.

As part of our rebrand, we also want to clearly define our core programs:

🌱 R.O.O.T.E.D. — Domestic Violence Intervention & Healing Through Storytelling
🤰🏽 M.A.M.A.S. — Maternal Advocacy, Mental Health & Support
🌳 Kinnected — Family & Community Relationship Building
🌟 Nurture & Thrive Program — Mental Health Therapy, Holistic Wellness, and Crisis Intervention

We also have a brand new logo — one that feels much more representative of who we are and the work we do today.

And just so there’s no confusion — We are working to create COMPLETE SEPARATION between the nonprofit and for profit so there is no question as to what's what!

Thank you for supporting us these past five years — and stay tuned for what’s coming next. At TRC, we believe home isn't a place, it's a feeling, and home is where the heart is! We look forward to welcoming you into our home and healing your heart! 💜

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and I'm doing what I do best- therapy!

Every day this month, I’ll be shedding light on unrecognized traumas many men carry—things that are often overlooked, brushed off, or never named... but still hurt.

Why?
Because you can’t heal what you don’t name. And not everyone is in therapy—but almost everyone is on social media. So I’m bringing the healing to your timeline.

Day three: S*xual Pressure or Violation
Unwanted advances, jokes, or being pressured into s*x gets dismissed for men.

🧠The Trauma: Being coerced, touched, or objectified without consent or being exposed to s*x at an early age by other "respected" males. Also, being made to believe that having s*x is a "right of passage". S*x acts often involving older women or relatives.

😩The Impact: Confusion, shame, hypers*xuality or avoidance, toxic masculinity, using s*x as a coping skill/problem solver.

🗣The Healing: Acknowledge it happened. Talk to a therapist. Your experience is valid and abuse is abuse even if it wasn’t “violent.”

Stay tuned—because this month, we’re naming it, feeling it, and learning how to heal from it.

You're not alone. Let's walk through this together. 💙

Why?
Because you can’t heal what you don’t name. Not everyone is in therapy—but almost everyone is on social media. So I’m bringing the healing to your timeline.

Day two: "Man Up" Culture
From a young age, many men are taught to hide pain, silence emotions, and tough it out. That’s not strength—it’s suppression.

🧠The Trauma: Being taught that "men don't feel." Being confined to one version of masculinity—silent, stoic, self-sacrificing.

😩The Impact: Emotional detachment, anger issues, difficulty expressing vulnerability, broken relationships.

🗣The Healing: Rewrite the script. Real men feel. Real men heal. Real men rest, cry, connect, and love deeply. Who you are—not what you hide—is what makes you strong.

Stay tuned—because this month, we’re naming it, feeling it, and learning how to heal from it.

You're not alone. Let's walk through this together. 💙
