This Occupational Therapy Month we're helping you get more out of your therapy sessions.

Fluidotherapy, used in Occupational Therapy at OrthoNebraska, helps prepare your hand and upper extremity with gentle, dry heat before movement.

Here’s how it helps:

• Warms up tissue to improve mobility
• Supports circulation for better movement
• Allows you to work on range of motion during treatment
• Helps desensitize sensitive areas
• And yes… it feels like warm sand on your skin

It’s a simple step that can make a big difference in how your body responds to therapy. If you're looking for a solution like this, explore our hand therapy options: https://orthonebraska.com/program/hand-therapy/

"I was able to play soccer pain-free for the first time in a year."

For this week’s patient spotlight, we are celebrating an incredible comeback of Delani Daubman, the starting goalkeeper for University of Sioux Falls. After a year of knee pain, this athlete underwent surgery with a team she trusted implicitly.

"I had the utmost trust in my surgeon," she shared. "Dr. Arnold reassured me I would return to soccer."

Working with our performance coaches, the focus shifted to hitting those vital milestones and pushing the limits. In her first game back as the starting goalkeeper against the top team in the league, her team secured a 5-0 win. Not only was she back on the field, but she was also named Woman of the Match!

Congratulations on proving you're the same elite player you’ve always been!

Corey McChesney, MOT, OTR/L, CHT, an OrthoNebraska Certified Hand Therapist, attended the Hand Rehabilitation Foundation's annual continuing education meeting in Philadelphia, PA!

This prestigious meeting brings hand surgeons and hand therapists together to learn new techniques and share best practices. Corey is bringing those insights back to help support better hand and upper extremity function, so patients can move with more confidence in daily life.

And yes, he made time to run the Rocky Steps, too!

Happy Occupational Therapy Month!

A trip to your local hardware store (or your garage!) provides many tools that can be used to improve upper extremity strength, coordination and function.

Think nuts and bolts, a hammer, even a plastic lid and nut. Small, intentional movements that support real-life tasks.

Want to get back to doing more with less pain or limitation? Schedule an appointment with our team and let’s build a plan that works for you. https://orthonebraska.com/program/hand-therapy/

Join us in celebrating Physical Therapist Colleen Snoza!

Colleen, our dedicated lead physical therapist at the Millard clinic, recently earned her Master’s in Healthcare Administration, further strengthening the care and leadership she brings to our patients and team.

"I went back to school to pursue my Master of Healthcare Administration degree because I wanted to improve my leadership skills and expand my knowledge of healthcare systems," said Snoza. As healthcare providers, we are always striving to improve patient care, and I saw the MHA degree as a way to broaden my impact in reaching that goal. I hope to continue to work with OrthoNebraska to foster team interaction, improve patient outcomes, and grow community engagement."

Drop a congratulations for Colleen in the comments and help us celebrate her achievement!
