Our pediatric resident and fellow, Hailey and Reagan, recently celebrated their conclusion of interdisciplinary sensorimotor groups within a local school system! Throughout the last year, they planned and implemented groups with students ranging from elementary school to high school, supported by mentors in school-based practice. Hailey and Reagan have truly enjoyed this aspect of pediatric practice and will cherish the memories made with the students!

Delaney Hill is the Creighton Gerontology OT Fellow. Her clinical practice sites include CHI Health and and Old Mill Rehabiltation.

Delaney was selected as Old Mill's June's "shining star", a program that allows patients to recognize an employee for going above and beyond for them throughout their stay. She was nominated by multiple patients and selected by the management team to recognize her hard work and dedication.

Patients described Delaney as "patient and caring" and "the perfect OT person for me!"

For the last lab of the summer Neurorehabilitation course, our OT neuro fellow, Erin, helped teach taping techniques to first year OT students! This course was an intensive 6-week course in which students learned a variety of neuro intervention approaches with hands-on practice implementing these skills in lab. Teaching has become one of Erin’s favorite parts of the fellowship and she has enjoyed working with these students throughout their first 3 semesters of OT school!

Our pediatric OT fellow, Reagan, celebrated the last lab of pediatric coursework today with the second year OT students! As part of Creighton University’s fellowship program, she has given a variety of lectures in the entry-level pediatric courses, as well as assisted with hands-on application of pediatric practice in weekly labs. Academia is just one of the areas fellows gain experience in, with mentorship from experienced and distinguished professors and professionals.
