We are excited for the return of our fave gal pal and original teacher Theresa Murphy. She comes once a year to share her expertise and it's not-to-be-missed. So much great wisdom in many powerful teachings. We will host this event at the beautiful Flatwater Collective space in downtown Omaha.

One of the great boons of yoga is increasing overall strength, but especially core strength. With more core stability, your spine is better-supported leading to less lower back pain and more comfort moving through the world. But, like many lessons in yoga, there are many layers to each lesson, maybe ways to come at it and understand it differently.

Not only do we want a strong core physically, but we want to tap into the core of ourselves. The unchanging "you that is you" is at the core of you. Haha, got that? In yoga terms, this steady reality of you is called purusha and it doesn't change no matter what happens around you. Including all the planks in the world.

Did you know that the hot yoga 26 postures were selected from a series of 84 postures taught by Bikram's guru Bishnu Ghosh? Ghosh lineage consists of 84 postures, 26 are practiced in the 90 minute beginning class. In the intermediate class, we integrate 48 (ish) additional postures from the 84. This class is a great way to expand and deepen your practice. Everyone is welcome to try, but it is helpful to have practiced the beginners series for at least 3 months as a basis for this practice.

Join Kim for the Intermediate Series the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month! Today 1-3PM.

Try out this core and trunk stabilizer with Gabe. It moves the spine in all directions and engages in the process.

From the latest blogpost by Alison:
If you have ever taken class or a training with me, you know I cannot get enough of anatomy, especially when it comes to yoga and how our bodies move. I have been at this long enough to know that not everyone shares my passion. In my pre-yoga days, I had no desire to learn human anatomy. In college and grad school, I studied political science and criminal justice. This is all to say, interests can change! AND, as I often say when training yoga teachers, you do not have to love anatomy, but you should care about it and try to know something about it, as it is nearly impossible to teach a good yoga class without some knowledge of anatomy!
