Employee Appreciation Day was extra sweet at Mid Valley Hospital & Clinic! 🍪💙

On Friday, March 6, H.E.A.R.T was happy to provide each department with a tray of cookies as a small way to show our appreciation.

Our morning began with a team effort at 7:00 AM, decorating cookies for employees across the organization. It was a fun and meaningful way for our team to come together and prepare something special for every department.

At Mid Valley Hospital, patient safety is everyone’s job, every shift, every department, every day. Here are a few simple ways we can all support safer care:

✅ Speak up if something doesn’t look right (patients & families, too!)
✅ Ask for clarification, it’s always okay to ask “Can you explain that again?”
✅ Confirm identities (name + date of birth) before meds, tests, or procedures
✅ Know your medications (bring an updated list or photos of labels)
✅ Practice clean hands—wash/sanitize often and remind others if needed
✅ Prevent falls: use call lights, wear non-slip shoes, and keep pathways clear
✅ Share allergies & reactions every visit, even if you’ve shared before
