Before finding PX Docs, Dottie’s struggles felt endless. She had seizures nearly every other day. Despite strict diets, multiple medications, and therapies, her development continued to fall behind. 📉
The hardest part? Watching their sweet girl be exhausted all the time. She wanted to play and explore, but lacked the energy. Sleep was a battle, eating was difficult, and they lived in constant fear of when the next seizure would strike. 😩
Mom said, “We tried everything—six medications, steroid injections, a hospital-induced ketogenic diet, and months of therapy. Nothing worked. Every failed attempt drained our hope.”
Then they found their local PX Docs office and everything changed. 🥹
For the first time, doctors spoke about Dottie’s potential instead of her struggles. Mom said, “No longer were expectations set low. No longer was I made to feel like I was failing as a parent. They gave us real answers, a plan that made sense, and the hope we had lost.” ❤️
Within three days of adjustments, she was standing and getting up on her own—something she hadn’t been able to do in six months of therapy. 🙌🏻
Today, with consistent care, Mom says, “Dottie’s life is unrecognizable. She has the energy to raise chaos like a typical toddler. She has the cognitive ability to understand toys that she has had for over a year. She has the awareness to interact with adults and her peers. She has the luxury of eating the same meals as her parents and the opportunity to try new foods. As a family, we can live our lives without daily seizures dictating what the day will look like. The biggest improvement, however, is our ability to hope. Healing takes time, and we are still in the process of getting rid of Dottie's seizures for good. But we can now see what life will look like when that happens.” 🥹
