🧠 Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, a time to highlight early signs and support for individuals and families affected by the disease. Early symptoms may include memory loss that disrupts daily life, difficulty planning or problem-solving, confusion with time or place, and changes in mood or personality.

Caregivers can help by using clear communication, offering simple choices, and allowing extra time for responses. Planning ahead with a health care directive is also important to ensure care reflects each person’s wishes.

At Mille Lacs Health System, our Senior Care Unit provides education, guidance, and compassionate support at every stage of Alzheimer’s disease.
