Peter G. Bender, 82, of Rock Rd., Verona, passed away with his loving family at his side on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica after suffering a brain aneurysm on Wednesday, February 18th.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 5652 E. Main St., Verona, where the Rev. Edmund A. Castronovo will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will take place in Gerald H. B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in the spring. There are no calling hours. Robert W. “Bob” Cornish, 88, of Oneida, fondly known as” Cobb”, “Cash Cornish”, “Big Whistle” and “Corn” passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Bob was known as the “Battleship” as he recovered many setbacks from various health issues over six years, finally succumbing to a cardiac episode. He just didn’t want to leave his treasured family and friends.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 12pm at St. Joseph’s Church, 121 St. Joseph’s Place, Oneida, where the Rev. Christopher J. Ballard will officiate. Family and friends are invited and may call on Saturday, March 7 from 10:00am-12-:00pm at St. Joseph’s Church, Oneida, NY prior to mass. Private interment with Military Honors will take place in Oneida Castle Cemetery.
