Registration is now open for The Ripple Effect: Training, Connection, and Overdose Awareness—a full-day event taking place on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Lake Ontario Conference & Events Center in Oswego, NY. The event is brought to you in partnership with Farnham Family Services and Oswego County Opportunities’ Rural Health Network.

This free event is open to service providers, educators, peers, first responders, and community members who are involved in or impacted by overdose prevention, substance use, and recovery. Registration is required, and space is limited.

Position Summary:

BRiDGES is seeking a dedicated and versatile professional to coordinate and deliver an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for local employers. This role blends short-term clinical support with account management, outreach, and critical incident response to ensure the EAP remains a trusted and effective resource for employees and employers across the community.

The EAP Coordinator works closely with HR departments, supervisors, and employees to provide support, consultation, and timely responses to emerging workplace concerns. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and comfort engaging with diverse workplaces on a range of behavioral health and wellness needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Employer Consultation & Account Management

Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for EAP client companies
Offer consultation to supervisors and HR professionals regarding workplace behavior concerns, policy questions, referral options, and crisis support needs
Provide quarterly utilization reports and support planning conversations to encourage program use
Training & Program Promotion

Develop and facilitate workplace trainings and educational sessions for employees and supervisors on wellness related topics such as stress management, communication, and mental health awareness
Promote EAP services through onsite visits, virtual outreach, and written communications such as regular emails, flyers, and digital resources
Represent BRiDGES EAP at relevant health fairs, conferences, and community events
Direct Clinical Support

Provide solution-focused and strength-based support for covered individuals who are experiencing problems which appear to have an adverse impact upon the employees’ work habits, productivity, or behavior.
Coordinate referrals and connect clients to appropriate community-based resources
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in line with ethical and legal standards
Program Development & Community Engagement

Monitor utilization and identify opportunities to improve service delivery
Lead and collaborate with internal staff and community partners to expand implementation and awareness of workplace wellness efforts
Stay up to date on trends in EAPs, behavioral health, and workforce wellbeing
Coordinate and respond to critical incidents impacting the workplace, including grief support, debriefings, or other crisis-related needs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and regional community resources, and build referral relationships to ensure warm hand-offs for clients needing ongoing care or specialized support
Qualifications:

Candidate should possess an MSW or Master’s in a related counseling field. CASAC or training in chemical dependency is a plus.
Minimum 2 years of experience providing behavioral health services and/or working with organizations or HR departments
Strong communication and public speaking skills
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and engage with diverse stakeholders
Knowledge of community resources and a commitment to prevention focused and trauma-informed practices

Devin's Rec Room(DRR) is proud to have our first Mindfulness in Recovery®(MIR) meeting. It is an inclusive recovery support group for anyone seeking recovery, along with friends and family of those seeking recovery. We integrate mindfulness skills and meditation into daily life, empowering individuals to make healthy choices aligned with their values so they can live meaningful lives. Open to all recovery paths, spiritual traditions, and those without one, each meeting includes a guided meditation, a reading from MIR literature, a speaker, and group discussion.
