🇺🇸 Frederick H. Meyers, Sr. 🇺🇸

The past two days, we honored the life of Frederick H. Meyers, Sr., whose service and love will long be remembered.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, he went on to serve his community for fifty years as a member of the Canastota Volunteer Fire Department and was also a member of the Canastota American Legion and Canastota VFW.

He was known for his commitment to his community and took great pride and joy in taking care of the ladder truck, which is no small task.

Above all, he was a devoted family man whose kindness, love, and strength touched the lives of those who knew him.

Thank you to the Canastota Volunteer Fire Department and the The American Legion of Canastota, NY Post 140 for honoring the life of their fellow brother. Your services to your community do not go unnoticed.

Today, we honored the life of a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Paul L. Douglass.

He lived by the values of honor, love, and commitment—serving his country faithfully and carrying that same strength into his community and family life.

He was a dedicated thirty-five year member of the Canastota American Legion, Charles Miller Post # 140, where he was a Past Post Commander, served as the Madison County Commander, the New York State District Commander and the New York State Department Vice Commander, a thirty-four year member and Past Sous Chef de Chemin de Fer of the 40 and 8 Society, a seven year member and current Assistant Director of the American Legion Riders.

He cherished his family and friends deeply, offering love, loyalty, and support to all who knew him. He found joy riding his motorcycle, and was honored with a final es**rt from the Legion Riders from various American Legions.

His legacy of service, devotion, and love will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
