Meet your NEW, local Primary Care Provider -
"I grew up in Blount County and have seen the need for healthcare my entire life. I worked home health for a short time as well as hospice. I saw many situations that I felt needed more, but I was limited in the care I was able to provide then. I now can make the difference in the lives of those around me. Blount County is a special place with a bunch of special people. I truly love the small-town vibes where I can truly get to know my patients, and wave high at Walmart or at the local festival. I am here to help those in need of any age, as I feel led and called to do this!"

Why did you decide to go into healthcare?
At a very young age, I felt led to the medical field. My mother is a nurse and my father a firefighter/paramedic. I enjoyed seeing and hearing about all thing's healthcare from them. After graduating high school, I finished some pre-requisites and applied. I started nursing school, but my grandmother fell and ended up passing away due to surgical complications, so I dropped out to be with family. I became very upset with the situation and wanted to change my major but was quickly pulled back into nursing. I prayed many prayers and re-applied. I was accepted and knew then I was going to complete my master's and make a difference where I could! I love what I do and the relationships that I create. It is not just about your blood pressure, or your stubbed toe, it's about each person as a human individually that matters to me.

What is your area of focus, what are you passionate about helping patients with?
My biggest passion is the endocrine system, but I truly have a passion for whole person health. If one thing is bothering you, it can affect your physical, emotional and mental well-being. I am here for the funny, the sad, the frustrating, and chaotic times! Life brings so many things our way, and your health, whether it is emotional, mental, or physical all matter.

It’s important to remember that anxiety around a new experience (like a new school year) won’t last forever. Stress, fear and uncertainty will diminish over time. Other emotions such as happiness, fulfillment and confidence can take their place.
