Re: Practice Transition

To Our Dear Family of Patients,

It is with very mixed emotions, but sincere gratitude, that we inform our family of patients that we have transitioned the ownership of our optometric practice to Dr. Molly Tipton. We are so excited for her and happy for the community that someone from Blount County will be acquiring the practice. Dr. Tipton has been with our practice for two years, and she is a 'perfect fit' for the practice and for you, the patient! In the very near future you will be hearing from Dr. Tipton that the clinic name has changed to Southern Vision Eye Care. We know you will love Dr. Tipton and the new ideas she brings to the practice.

Oneonta and Blount County has been a big part of our lives for over 4 decades. Dr. Jim started the practice in 1980 on First Avenue North in the space previously occupied by Moore's Sporting Goods. Needing more space, he moved it in 1983, two doors down to the former Blount Credit Bureau office. In 1996, we moved the office to its current location in the Office Park East facility on 6th Street South. Every change in location allowed us to meet and to offer more care to you, our patients!

Dr. Jim has retired from active practice, but Dr. Robin will continue seeing patients in the office with Dr. Tipton for a period of time. The staff and doctors will continue their constant efforts to provide the most up to date and thorough ophthalmic care to you and your family. The name will change, but the 'Team' will remain the same.

Thank you for being our patient and for allowing us to care for your eye health and vision care needs. We appreciate your loyalty to our practice. We are very grateful for each and every one of you!
