Hello Forever Family! It's almost time for the best night of the week! Yes, we will be having Celebrate Recovery tomorrow night here at Christian Life Fellowship Ontario, OR. Dinner starts at 5:15 p.m. and we stop serving at 5:45 p.m., which allows our kitchen staff to attend the large group that starts at 6:00 p.m. Speaking of large group,Mark and Megan will be sharing their couples testimony. Trust me, you don't want to miss their powerful story of trials,tribulations and God's redemptive power. Following group, we will have open share groups. Current men's groups are: Mixed issues, Mental Health and Trauma, Substance Use and Anger. Current Women's groups are: Mixed issues, Mental Health and Trauma & Substance Use. These groups start at 7:15 p.m. and end at 8:15 p.m. Crossroads Cafe starts at 8:15 p.m. and ends at 8:35 p.m. This is a great time to socialize and check in with your Sponsor, Accountability Team and or look for a Sponsor or Accountability Partner. We have Celebration Place for the elementary age kiddos that starts at 5:15 p.m. The Landing, a Minsitry for Middle School and High School Students, starts at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 8:15 p.m. We will have nursery for the littles. Celebrate Recovery is open to everyone. We also live stream our large group meetings on our Christian Life Fellowship Ontario, OR page. Please follow and like this page. Dinner starts at 5:15 p.m. and we stop serving at 5:45 p.m., which allows our kitchen staff to attend the large group that starts at 6:00 p.m. Speaking of large group, In honor of Holy Week, we will be celebrating Maundy Thursday with Mark K. bringing a special message which will include communion. We will have live worship and chip night as well. Our large group will go a bit longer until about 7:30 p.m. We will not be having any open share groups but do plan on having a social time from 7:30 p.m. until 7:50 p.m. We have Celebration Place for the elementary age kiddos and our middle school and high school students will join us for Large Group this week. We will have nursery for the littles. Celebrate Recovery is open to everyone. We also live stream our large group meetings on our Christian Life Fellowship Ontario, OR page. “How do you hear from God?” — As a young girl, through the lens of all my hurt from people misusing “hearing from God,” I would have told you, “I’ll never hear from God.”

My hurt was a roadblock.

My cynicism was a roadblock.

But now I have a very different answer.

Were you to ask me today, “How do you hear God’s voice?” I would tell you—

I live my life with God’s voice.

I am in an ongoing, close relationship with Him. I don’t just ask Him for specific directions on demand out of the blue.

📖🏡 I have arranged my life around being with His voice, in His Word, in His presence, in taking risks in faith, in obeying God when it hasn’t made sense, in knowing what He is like, and being around people who know what He is like too.

As I ask to be led by Him, the request is not random; it is in the warmth of a relationship.

🐑 Like a sheep knows its shepherd’s voice, I know Him and can tell how His voice is different from the other voices in my life.

☁️ Sometimes we want God to write directions in the clouds or spell out a phrase in our alphabet soup. 🍜

We want to know what God is saying, but we don’t live our lives close enough in relationship with Him to know what His voice sounds like.

🛋️ The truth is, the more time you spend with God and His words, the more you’ll know what He is like, and the more clearly you will be able to discern His leading.

✨ Simply put, the more time you spend with God, the more you’ll know His voice.
