Malheur County Health Department Call our office at 541-889-7279 to schedule a confidential appointment. Walk-ins welcome. No one will be turned away for lack of ability to pay.

Services are offered to people with private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, or who are uninsured. Malheur County Health Department's page is intended to be a place for us to interact with community members regarding services, events, and community programs. Ontario Boil Order Lifted

Please be advised that the City of Ontario’s boil water advisory has been officially lifted. The underlying conditions that prompted the advisory have been fully resolved, and subsequent water quality testing has confirmed that the system is free of harmful bacteria and meets all applicable safety standards. Residents and businesses may now resume normal water use, including drinking, cooking, and food preparation, without the need to boil water.

TB is still a life-threatening disease affecting people in Oregon but can be cured with treatment. In 2025, 100 cases of TB disease were reported in Oregon.

TB knows no borders, and people in Oregon continue to suffer from TB. To learn more, visit healthoregon.org/tb

Ontario Boil Order Notice

There is a Boil Order Notice in affect indefinitely for the residents of Ontario service area. Official Boil Order below. The Ontario Public Works advises residents in this area to continue vigorously boiling their water for at least 1 full minute prior to drinking or cooking or using only bottle water. The city is continuing to monitor the situation. The most recent update is that they are corrected the pump issue and water samples have been sent for confirmatory testing but still recommend using bottled or boiled water until further notice. For updates on this situation and other local emergencies, make sure to sign up for Malheur ALERTS.

BOIL ORDER NOTICE: A water boil order has been issued for residents of the City of Ontario. Water needs to be boiled for at least one full minute before drinking or cooking due to a pump failure.
