We loved watching Bob Goff's "Catching Whimsy" webcast! These are the ideas and actions we came up with this month. We had an anonymous donor give us money to buy groceries for two food banks. We dropped off flowers to residents in nearby nursing homes. We also took blankets to the Oasis homeless shelter. We dropped off clothing at the Veterans Thrift Shop. On Veterans Day, we took homemade fudge to the VFW and to our Police. It has been a blast! Everywhere we go, people are so kind and willing to help us. Thank youto everyone who made this possible. Can you imagine what December is going to look like?

Four Rivers School invited us to share in their Veterans Day Assembly. Harold, a WW2 Veteran who happens to be 99 years old and Craig were able to attend. The school ambassadors came and served them all morning. What an amazing group of students, staff and school. Thank you!

We are so blessed to have 10 veterans here at Brookdale Ontario. “America” was written by Katharine Lee Bates in 1895.

We feel so blessed to be able to honor our veterans here at Brookdale Ontario, Craig, Robert, Michael, Mike, Betty, Jim, Harold, David, Ken and Larry. We are grateful for their sacrifice and service to keep our country free.

What a wonderful time we had celebrating our veterans. We had so many people in the community come together to help us. We had 10 women make beautiful homemade quilts. Some veterans came to do Color Guard. Paul came and spoke, and the Andersons provided music for us. Thank you, everyone, we are so grateful!

We had a great new resident party. We always go around and ask a few questions. Today we asked what they would do with a million dollars? We had a lot of laughs and fun.
