I’m making a The Pioneer Woman - Ree Drummond chocolate sheet cake for family dinner this evening. Soooo delicious! Memories flooded my mind today as I was making the cake. I used my mother-in-law’s measuring utensils to make the cake. She sure loved to cook, and she really enjoyed taking cakes, cookies, and specialty breads to Sunday School on Sunday mornings. People really bragged on her cooking. My kids thoroughly enjoyed their time cooking with her. She was a jewel. I sure do miss her

Yesterday was a busy day for us here at Serenity Soapworks. We finished packing and shipped a large order of soy candles for our friends at The Rustic Market in Crockett, TX, and we finished packing and shipped a large lotion bar order for our friends at the Design Haus Boutique In Kimmswick, MO. We also did a lot of throwing away, consolidating, and organizing our supplies as we bring everything out to the “she” shed from inside the house.

On Tuesday of this week, 4 more pallets of cosmetics left our “she” shed headed for an international company in California. It felt GREAT to send those 5200 jars off to their new home!

The first photos are a part of an order we hope to send off very soon. (3 pallets) of cosmetics which Melanie created the original formulation for, and hand pours each container for an international firm.
