Janelle is local to the Chattanooga area and is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners and many mental health advocacy organizations. She holds an adjunct faculty position for Mental Health Nursing in the Associate’s in Nursing Program with Cleveland State Community College. She also volunteers as a co-leader for Reboot Alliance/Firstline Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder/Trauma class for first responders – Emergency Medical Service/Law Enforcement/Fire Department personnel. Janelle is a member of the Tri-Community Fire Department, serving as Critical Incident Support Specialist. She is also a member of the TN Disaster Mental Health Strike Team that serves First Responders as well the community.

Varenda Fowler is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She also holds certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She earned her Master’s degree from Western Carolina University with a specialty in Family Nurse Practitioner and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University. Varenda has professional mental health experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Varenda provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services which include consultation, psychiatric assessments and medication management. She believes in a holistic, patient-centered approach and includes biological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects to formulate an individualized treatment plan.

Counseling: Sasha Self, LPC-MHSP, received her Bachelors in Psychology through UT Knoxville in 2007 and her Masters’ in Professional Counseling through Southern Adventist University in 2009. She offers support in facing and gaining mastery over life’s many struggles, including but not limited to trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, and addiction. She also seeks to provide encouragement and collaborated direction for those desiring to become the best possible version of themselves.
