A little luck and a lot of creativity filled the room at the Collegedale Lantern. 🍀✨

Residents got into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit by crafting shamrock-themed cards, complete with pots of gold and shiny “coins.” Each one had its own personal touch, and there was plenty of laughter as everyone admired each other’s work.

We were also excited to welcome our new volunteer, Kaitlin, who jumped right, in passing out supplies, sharing smiles, and encouraging creativity along the way.

It was a sweet afternoon of conversation, connection, and celebrating together.

This week, Regionals and Community Relations Directors from across Morning Pointe Senior Living came together in one room, united by purpose and passion for the work we do.

We spent time focusing on serving seniors and their families, how to best meet them where they are in the aging journey, and how to connect with local communities and partners across our footprint to help them understand the true value of senior living. 🤝

When we are aligned, informed, and intentional, families feel it. That consistency across every campus makes a difference.

Grateful for a team that is always willing to learn, collaborate, and sharpen how we serve. ❤️

Little voices. Big joy. 💐💛

Students from OAKS - Ooltewah Adventist School's kindergarten and first grade classes visited us, bringing handmade cards, beautiful flowers, and the sweetest songs about joy and Jesus. Their visit filled the room with smiles, laughter, and a spirit of encouragement.

One resident shared, “I was so very pleased with their visit. It made my soul happy.” And that truly says it all.

Moments like these remind us how powerful intergenerational connection can be. 💕

When small changes make a big difference. 💙

In this week’s Understanding Senior Living blog, we share a real clinical case study from Morning Pointe Senior Living that highlights the impact of medication oversight, coordinated provider communication, and a structured daily routine. Over the course of one month, a resident progressed from walking just 10–15 feet with assistance to independently heading to meals with a walker — along with improved sleep and cognitive clarity. 🚶‍♂️

It’s a practical look at how assisted living can play a meaningful clinical role when the right pieces come together.

These outcomes aren’t theoretical. They’re based on real experiences, with all identifying details withheld to remain HIPAA-compliant.

Paying for senior care is one of the biggest questions people face — and it’s exactly what we’ll be discussing at our upcoming Morning Pointe Foundation Caregiver Café events.

This week’s Understanding Senior Living blog from Morning Pointe Senior Living breaks it down in plain language: what Medicare really covers (and what it doesn’t), how Medicaid and VA benefits work, and the private-pay tools often combined to build a realistic plan.

If you’ve ever wondered, “How are we actually going to pay for this?” — this guide is a helpful place to start before joining the conversation in person.

We’d also love to see you at a Morning Pointe Foundation Caregiver Café, where you can ask questions, hear from local experts, and leave feeling more prepared for what’s ahead. Learn more about our upcoming events here: https://morningpointe.com/caregiver-cafe/

Sometimes the simplest gestures leave the biggest impact. 💌
This month, we’re celebrating National Letter to an Elder Day by encouraging moments of connection across generations. A handwritten note, a simple message, or a shared memory can mean more than you know—and it’s a beautiful way to remind our residents they’re seen, valued, and remembered.

If you or your group would like to get involved, reach out to your local Life Enrichment or Lantern Program Director to learn how to participate and help spread a little joy through words. ✨

An afternoon of crafting and big smiles. 📸💛

We loved spending time with our wonderful volunteer, Marsha, as residents created scrapbook pages for a special shadow box display. Each resident posed for a Polaroid and then decorated their page with tissue paper, florals, stickers, borders, and favorite team touches.

Wally proudly showed off his Notre Dame fandom, Christian values, and favorite colors — such a meaningful way to express who he is. 💙✨

Caregiving isn’t just a job — it’s a calling. 💙

At Morning Pointe Senior Living, being a caregiver means showing up with patience, compassion, and a heart ready to serve. It’s the quiet moments, the helping hands, the encouragement, and the steady presence that make all the difference in a resident’s day.

Today, we honor the resident assistants who care deeply, give generously, and treat every resident like family. Thank you for the love you pour into our communities every single day.

Let the good times roll! 💜💚💛

Our residents had a blast celebrating Mardi Gras — watching and helping bake a delicious King Cake in true cooking show style, decorating festive masks, and layering on the beads for a little extra sparkle. 🎭👑

The fun continued with parade watching, sweet treats, and plenty of laughter filling the room. It was a day full of flavor, creativity, and that fabulous Mardi Gras spirit we all love. ✨
