A room full of paintbrushes and smiling faces. šŸŽØšŸŒ¼

Directed art with Darcie continues to grow here in East Hamilton, and this week 15 residents gathered to paint bright daisies together. There’s something special about the way everyone settles in, follows along, and then proudly holds up their finished piece.

For nearly a year now, Darcie has been faithfully volunteering her time on the first Monday of each month, guiding residents through a new creative project. What started as a simple class has turned into something residents truly look forward to.

And the paintings do not stay around long. Staff members often ask if they can keep them as little treasures for their homes, which makes our artists pretty proud.

Darcie’s kindness, encouragement, and steady presence have made a real difference in our community. We are so grateful for the joy she brings and proud to recognize her as our Volunteer of the Month.

Memory loss rarely happens all at once. It shifts gradually, and families are often left wondering, ā€œIs it time yet?ā€ šŸ’œ

In this week’s Understanding Senior Living blog, we share how Morning Pointe Senior Living approaches memory care as a continuum — with thoughtfully designed environments like LampLight and Lantern that support residents at different stages of cognitive change. 🧠

Not every Morning Pointe community offers the same care model, but every location can help guide families in the right direction. Whether through on-site memory care, a nearby sister community, or trusted local resources, our goal is to help you find the right support for your loved one.

If you are navigating memory changes with someone you love, this guide may bring clarity and reassurance.

There’s just something about a slow morning and a good cup of coffee. ā˜•

Virginia was soaking in her morning coffee, enjoying a little quiet time before the day got going. No rush. No agenda. Just a warm cup in her hands and a peaceful start to the morning. ā˜€ļø

Sometimes it’s these simple routines that mean the most. They bring comfort, familiarity, and a sense of home to each day.

And around here, we believe those small moments matter just as much as the big ones.

It’s always a good day when we get to serve those who serve others. šŸ’™

Our East Hamilton team partnered with the Apison Elementary PTA to prepare and serve a lasagna dinner for the teachers. It was a small way to say thank you for the time, energy, and heart they pour into their students every day.

We’re grateful for opportunities to support our local schools and stay connected to the community around us.

Wellness isn’t just physical. It’s personal. šŸ’š

This March at Morning Pointe Senior Living, our theme is A World of Wellness — focusing on the whole person: body, mind, relationships, and spirit. That means opportunities to stay active, space to connect with others, moments of purpose, and support that brings peace of mind.

When all those pieces work together, it creates something bigger than health. It creates balance. And that’s what we’re leaning into this month across our communities.

See what’s happening at your local Morning Pointe and how wellness is showing up in daily life.

March is bringing a fresh rhythm with it. šŸ’š

This month, our theme is A World of Wellness — with activities centered around staying active, connecting with others, nourishing our bodies, and creating space for reflection and purpose.

We’re also packing our (virtual) bags for Morning Pointe in Motion with a stop in Dublin, Ireland. šŸ€ Think hearty Irish stew, warm soda bread, and a little St. Patrick’s Day spirit along the way.

Also on the calendar: Employee Appreciation Day, Maintenance Director Day, St. Patrick’s Day, March Madness, Doctors’ Day, and plenty of everyday moments that keep our communities moving and engaged. šŸ€šŸ€

Be sure to check your community calendar and connect with your Activity Director to see what’s coming up.

When small changes make a big difference. šŸ’™

In this week’s Understanding Senior Living blog, we share a real clinical case study from Morning Pointe Senior Living that highlights the impact of medication oversight, coordinated provider communication, and a structured daily routine. Over the course of one month, a resident progressed from walking just 10–15 feet with assistance to independently heading to meals with a walker — along with improved sleep and cognitive clarity. šŸš¶ā€ā™‚ļø

It’s a practical look at how assisted living can play a meaningful clinical role when the right pieces come together.

This week, Regionals and Community Relations Directors from across Morning Pointe Senior Living came together in one room, united by purpose and passion for the work we do.

We spent time focusing on serving seniors and their families, how to best meet them where they are in the aging journey, and how to connect with local communities and partners across our footprint to help them understand the true value of senior living. šŸ¤

When we are aligned, informed, and intentional, families feel it. That consistency across every campus makes a difference.

Grateful for a team that is always willing to learn, collaborate, and sharpen how we serve. ā¤ļø

Our Mardi Gras Family Day in East Hamilton was one to remember. āšœļøšŸŽ

We had a wonderful turnout and loved welcoming Barkey and his full band. The music filled the room, families gathered close, and the energy felt just right for a true Mardi Gras celebration.

Beignets and coffee made it even sweeter, and the afternoon was full of laughter, conversation, and time well spent together. šŸŽ¶ā˜•
