We are thrilled to welcome Tamara Sheppard to Encore Rehabilitation-Opelika clinic as she completes her PTA clinical rotation with our team. Tamara brings an incredible depth of experience, dedication, and passion for helping others, and we are honored to be part of her journey toward becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant!

At 52, Tamara exemplifies lifelong learning and service. As a proud mother, grandmother, military spouse, former United States Army civilian employee, and highly accomplished fitness and exercise professional, she brings a unique perspective and wealth of knowledge to patient care.

Tamara holds a degree in Exercise Science and has earned certifications as a Fitness Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Sports Nutrition Specialist, and Strength and Conditioning Coach — achievements that reflect years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to helping others improve their health and performance.

Driven by a passion for restoring movement and improving quality of life, Tamara is currently pursuing her next chapter as a Physical Therapist Assistant at South University, where she is expected to graduate in September 2026.

Her mission to combine military experience, scientific knowledge, and coaching expertise to help individuals move better, recover stronger, and live healthier lives aligns perfectly with the values we strive to uphold every day at Encore.

At Encore Rehabilitation, we deeply value the opportunity to mentor future healthcare professionals. Clinical rotations are not only a chance for students to learn and grow, but also an opportunity for our team to learn from the fresh perspectives, experiences, and passion that students like Tamara bring into our clinics every day. Effective Industrial Rehab goes beyond treatment — it requires a deep understanding of workplace demands, injury prevention, and the functional needs of employees across a wide range of industries.

Meet Marna Hallman, PT, Regional Director for Encore Rehabilitation. A graduate of the University of South Alabama, Marna brings more than 32 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in outpatient orthopedic and industrial rehabilitation settings.

Throughout her career, Marna has specialized in job analysis, development of functional job descriptions, worksite assessments, and post-offer employment testing. She has worked closely with employers to develop programs focused on employee safety, injury prevention, and successful return-to-work outcomes.

As a Regional Director with Encore, Marna oversees clinical operations while ensuring high standards of care across multiple locations.

Known for her collaborative approach and deep understanding of the physical demands of various occupations, Marna has become a trusted partner for both patients and industry clients. She remains passionate about bridging the gap between rehabilitation and the workplace—helping individuals recover, stay active, and perform their best on the job.

Ashton shares a bit about herself:

“I am originally from Rockford, Alabama, and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Faulkner University, where I also played collegiate softball. I went on to complete my Physical Therapist Assistant degree at South University in Montgomery.

"In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and child, family and friends. I also enjoy watching sports and exercising.”

At Encore Rehabilitation, our Industrial Rehab program is strengthened by experts who bring advanced clinical skills, industry knowledge, and trusted experience to every case.

Meet Enoch Jones, PT, DPT!
Enoch is a Regional Director with Encore Rehabilitation and a licensed Physical Therapist with extensive experience in industrial rehabilitation, sports and orthopedic rehab, dry needling, and blood flow restriction training. Enoch has been a Physical Therapist with Encore Rehabilitation for 17 years.

Enoch is certified in multiple Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) systems and frequently performs AMA 4th and 6th Edition Impairment Ratings. His background includes FCEs, impairment ratings, workplace and physical demands analysis, post-offer and pre-employment screenings, fit-for-duty evaluations, and agility testing — making him one of Encore’s most versatile evaluators in complex industrial cases.

He has presented at the Encore-Uhler Sports Medicine Symposium and the Alabama Workers' Compensation Organization conferences, taught AMA impairment rating courses, and has been published in the Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy.

Enoch represents Encore’s commitment to excellence across every community we serve, bringing clinical leadership and specialized expertise to our Industrial Rehab Team!
