Our mission is simple: we believe that caring for you means caring about you, and we provide medical specialists who treat each patient as if they were family. Certification is a comprehensive, voluntary process by a panel of peers that requires successful completion of intensive written and oral examinations. Our group of specialists include orthopedic surgeons who have received the highest level of training available and are required to participate in continuing medical education in order to maintain their certification.

Introducing our new logo and celebrating 50 years of care, growth, and community !

Did you know your knee is the largest joint in the body—and one of the most commonly injured?

Every step, squat, jump, and pivot puts stress on your knees, which is why they’re so important to protect. Whether you’re an athlete or just staying active day-to-day, small habits can make a big difference.

✔ Stay consistent with strength training
✔ Don’t skip your warm-ups
✔ Listen to your body when something feels off

Taking care of your knees now can help prevent bigger problems down the road. If pain, swelling, or instability starts to stick around, it may be time to get it checked.

⛳️ With The Masters Tournament approaching, golf is on the mind for a lot of us 👀

But whether you’re playing 18 holes or just hitting the range, it’s important to remember—golf isn’t as low-impact as it looks.

Common golf injuries we see:
• Golfer’s elbow
• Low back strain
• Rotator cuff injuries
• Knee pain

All that twisting, swinging, and repetition can take a toll on your body over time.

🏌️‍♂️ The pros make it look effortless—but behind the scenes, they’re prioritizing strength, mobility, and recovery to stay in the game.

If you’re feeling sore after a round or noticing pain that isn’t improving, don’t brush it off as “just golf.” Getting ahead of it early can keep you on the course longer.

🦴 Bone of the Week: Scaphoid

Don’t let its size fool you—the scaphoid plays a big role in how your wrist moves and functions.

📍 Found on the thumb side of your wrist
❗️Commonly injured during a fall onto an outstretched hand
⚠️ Easy to overlook, but important to catch early

Signs to pay attention to:
• Pain near the base of your thumb
• Tenderness when you press into the wrist
• Weakness or discomfort with gripping

🩻 Here’s what makes it tricky:
Scaphoid fractures don’t always show up on the first X-ray. Sometimes, an MRI is required to show this fracture.

🚨 Because of its limited blood supply, a scaphoid injury may not heal properly without treatment.

If your wrist pain is sticking around—don’t ignore it. Getting it checked early can make all the difference!

Happy National Doctors Day! 🩺

Today we’re celebrating the incredible physicians who show up every day to care for our patients and community.

At TOC, our doctors bring 86 years of combined experience to the table and perform a high volume of procedures each year —placing them well above (85%) the national average among orthopedists.

Why does that matter? Experience isn’t just about time—it’s about repetition, precision, and confidence. When physicians treat a wide range of cases regularly, they develop sharper decision-making skills, more refined techniques, and the ability to handle both routine and complex conditions with greater ease. That level of expertise can lead to more accurate diagnoses, smoother procedures, and better overall outcomes for patients.

We’re proud to have a team that combines knowledge, skill, and dedication to provide the highest level of care.

Join us in thanking our doctors today and every day! 👏

When to See an Orthopedic Physician for Hip Pain 🦴

Hip pain isn’t something you have to push through. While some soreness can improve with rest, certain symptoms shouldn’t be ignored.

🚩 It’s time to get evaluated if you have:
• Pain that is persistent
• Difficulty walking, standing, or bearing weight
• Stiffness or decreased range of motion
• Pain that radiates into the groin, thigh, or buttock
• Swelling or tenderness around the hip
• Pain after a fall or injury
• Hip pain that interferes with sleep

Early evaluation can help prevent further damage and get you back to doing what you love—faster.

📍Don’t wait until it gets worse—your hips carry you through life, take care of them!

Total shoulder replacement or arthroplasty is designed to relieve pain and restore movement when the joint is worn down or damaged.

There are two main types:
• Anatomic Total Shoulder Replacement – replicates the natural ball-and-socket structure and works best when the rotator cuff is intact.
• Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement – switches the ball and socket positions, allowing other muscles to compensate when the rotator cuff is torn.

Both procedures can significantly improve function and quality of life—getting you back to doing what you love. If you are experiencing pain, come see us to discuss best options for you!

🦴 Bone of the Week: Clavicle (Collarbone)
The clavicle connects the upper limb to the trunk and acts as a strut that stabilizes the shoulder, allowing a wide range of arm movement.
🔎 Interesting facts:
• One of the most commonly fractured bones in the body
• Most fractures occur in the middle third of the bone
• Often injured after a fall onto the shoulder or outstretched hand
Clavicle fractures are frequently seen in sports injuries, cycling accidents, and falls.
Treatment depends on fracture type and displacement — many heal well with conservative management, while some require surgical fixation.
