🌟 Business Spotlight Series – First Installment! 🌟

We’re excited to launch our Business Spotlight Series, where we highlight local businesses that have opened their doors to our consumers and the meaningful impact it’s creating for everyone involved.

Today, we’re proud to spotlight ID Plastics in Auburn! 👏

They have hired two of our consumers, and we’re thrilled to share that both individuals have been doing exceptionally well. Their hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes have made a real impact not only in their own lives, but within the workplace as well.

🌟 Consumer Spotlight: Jacob Carroll 🌟
Meet Jacob Carroll, one of our incredible participants at the Achievement Center!
When he’s not working toward his goals, Jacob enjoys going to concerts, traveling on vacations, and trying new things. He has a great sense of adventure and is always open to new experiences.
Jacob first connected with the Achievement Center through ADRS, which began his journey in the job development program.
One of Jacob’s favorite things about coming to the Achievement Center is seeing Ms. Lisa White, who always brightens his day and brings a positive energy to his visits.
A major accomplishment Jacob is proud of is making the decision to leave a job he held for four years, a big and courageous step toward new opportunities and personal growth.
Jacob’s advice for anyone thinking about coming to the Achievement Center:
“Be patient the job market is tough!”

🌟 Consumer Spotlight: Jonathan Jacobsen 🌟
Jonathan is a determined, genuine, and creative individual who loves bringing joy to others. He is proud of earning his driver’s license after completing a six-hour training course with the Achievement Center and running his own balloon animal business that makes people smile. Jonathan is currently working toward obtaining his GED, purchasing a vehicle, and expanding his balloon animal business. We are proud to celebrate his accomplishments and excited to see all he achieves next! 🎈

🚗 FREE Summer Driver’s Education Opportunity!🚗
We’re excited to share an amazing opportunity for local students this summer! Thanks to the Alabama After School and Student Enrichment Programs Grant (provided through the Coronavirus Recovery Funds Office), the Achievement Center–Easterseals is offering FULLY PAID driver’s education training.

🎉 What’s Available

We have 12 FREE spots available:

6 Permit Training Spots

6 Behind-the-Wheel Driving Spots

📍 Who Can Apply

Students who currently live in or graduated this school year from schools in:
Lee, Russell, Tallapoosa, Macon, or Chambers County

🪪 Age Requirements

Permit Training: Must be 15 years or older

Behind-the-Wheel: Must be 16+ and have held a learner’s permit for at least 6 months

(If you’re over 18, there’s no waiting period requirement.)

📅 When

Summer 2026 — June through August
Schedules will be set individually with instructors.

The Achievement Center Eastseals would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Cole Flanders, owner of , for hosting a workplace tour for students at Reeltown School. This experience provided students with valuable real-world insight into operating efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on daily operations, order accuracy, and drive-thru coordination.
Students also gained a strong understanding of Chick-fil-A’s work culture, values, and training practices. Mr. Flanders was intentional in demonstrating how attention to detail impacts success—from how employees engage with guests to how challenges are addressed. These lessons are invaluable for student’s pursuing careers in hospitality, healthcare, retail, or any profession that involves working with people. Exceptional customer service truly matters, and that is exactly what was demonstrated throughout this experience.
We greatly appreciate your time and commitment to student learning and wish you continued success.

Easterseals would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Auburn University Facilities Management team for welcoming our Lanett High School students and giving them the opportunity to explore the many career paths within their department!
The visit was both enlightening and impressive, providing our students with a deeper understanding of the facility and the essential work that keeps it running each day. They truly benefited from learning about the wide range of roles and responsibilities in facilities management, and the team’s willingness to share their knowledge, answer questions, and offer career insight made a lasting impact.
We are incredibly appreciative of the warm hospitality and thoughtful guidance shown throughout the visit. Experiences like this help inspire and prepare our students for bright and successful futures.

The Achievement Center Easterseals would like to extend our sincere thanks to Vectorply Corporation -Vectorply Performance Composite Reinforcement for hosting the Russell County High School students for a facility tour. Vectorply is a highly respected company right here in our community, with a strong commitment to recruiting and developing young, innovative talent. While many positions begin at the entry level, the company provides excellent training and offers outstanding opportunities for rapid career growth.
This tour was truly amazing and greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Mrs. Beverly for her exceptional customer service, Mrs. Mandy Pierce of Marketing, and Mr. Brian Denny of Human Resources for taking the time to guide the students. It was also a pleasure meeting CEO Mr. Trevor Humphrey.

Achievement Center-Easterseals is currently accepting bids for a 2006 GMC Goshen Bus. Vehicle has 324,000 miles and is not running. Sold as is no warranty. Bids will be accepted until December 1st 2025, at 8:00 AM, CST. Please email your bid to chuck@achievement-center.org.
Vehicle may also be viewed by calling 334-745-3501 Ext-2112 to set up an appointment. Office hours are 7:30 AM-4:00 PM M-TH. and 7:30 AM-11:30 AM Friday.
