March 20 β Hope for Opelousas Annual Art Show β Held at the campus of Hope for Opelousas, 330 E. Madison, this annual art show, where art is produced by students at HFO, is a fundraiser for this after school mentoring organization. www.hopeforopelousas.org/art
March 23 β St. Landry Parish Student Arts Expo β Organized by Acadiana Center for the Arts, this free downtown event is a celebration of student-artists in all artistic disciplines from every corner of St. Landry Parish. It features outdoor performances from school bands, choirs, and performance classes, art exhibitions, hands-on art activities for families, and a student artist market, Courthouse Square, 118 S. Court St, Opelousas, 10 am β 3 pm.
March 23 - 2024 Hop into Spring Health and Resource Fair, 9 am - 12 pm at South City Park in Opelousas, LA. Presented by Opelousas General Health System, this Easter themed health fair is focused on family health and wellness complete with its' very own Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt. FMI 337-948-5157

* Opelousas Farmers Market - Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. 6:30 -10:30 a.m. You can discover bounties of homegrown fruits, vegetables, preserves and jellies, and more. Farmers Market Pavilion, 828 E. Landry St., Opelousas.
*Dulcimer Jam at St. Landry Parish Visitor Center - Every Wednesday morning from 10am-12pm, a group of dulcimer and bluegrass enthusiasts gather to jam out at the St. Landry Parish Visitor Center just outside Opelousas. Jam organizer Joe Besse invites anyone with a dulcimer or acoustic instrument to stop by and join in.
