Mizell Memorial Hospital Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation. It is a tax-exempt 501-(c)(3) organization. Contributions are deductible under code Section 170 if the IRS Code. Through support of people like you, new medical equipment is purchased or existing pieces are upgraded for Mizell Memorial Hospital. For patients this means modern, efficient diagnosis and treatment is available when they need it. Without the ongoing philanthropic support of individuals, businesses, and community organizations, many purchases would not be possible. With their eyes on the future of health care our donors give to secure the most successful outcome possible for those they love.
Contributions to the MMH Foundation can be made in many forms: Donations from individuals or community organizations. Corporate support from our friends in the business community who recognize the importance of good health care to a vibrant community. Planned giving, gifts that are arranged now but take effect in the future.
Commemorative giving is also available. Have you ever wondered what you can give someone who has everything? Consider making a gift to the MMH Foundation in tribute to them or someone special to them. A distinctive touch can be added to a birthday, anniversary, retirement, or graduation when the person knows you have made a gift to the MMH Foundation in their honor. For a gift of $25 or more, the Foundation will send a printed card notifying the person or family member that a gift was made in their honor or memory.
There are also different levels of giving through the Tree of Honor. A unique way to give to the MMH Foundation or to honor or memorialize someone is the Tree of Honor. Located in the Lobby of Mizell Memorial Hospital, the tree recognizes gifts on four levels: Brass Leaf $300 donation, Gold Leaf $500 donation, Acorn $2,000 donation, Stone $5000 donation. There are also Founder contributions. Founders make a commitment for a total amount, payable over a period of time. $10,000-$250,000
