🌟Rounding out the new clinicians at AirEvac 8 is flight nurse, Katie! With a strong background as a former PICU nurse, Katie brings critical care expertise, calm under pressure, and a heart for patients of all ages.

When she’s not flying, you can find her logging miles on a run, enjoying a well-earned donut, or spending time outdoors hunting and adventuring with her family. She’s also a busy mom of three awesome kids, and part of a true flight family, her husband is a flight paramedic 👩‍❤️‍👨

We’re excited to have Katie on board serving our communities now from the air! 💛🚁

🔥Meet another new member of AirEvac 8, Flight Paramedic Michael Hazlett!

With 11 years in EMS and 7 years as a paramedic, Michael stepped into flight medicine for all the right reasons: to push his limits, challenge his skills, and keep leveling up. Before EMS, he was racing motocross professionally, which explains the adrenaline addiction and the zero-fear attitude. 🏁💨

When he’s not working the skies, you can catch Michael:
-On the golf course
-Country dancing
-Dialed into sports
💵 And, of course… analyzing sports bets like he’s running his own in-flight sportsbook
⚡ All powered by an unhealthy but impressive love for Monster energy drinks.

Michael brings discipline, grit, and a passion for personal growth. He’s the perfect amount of chaos energy that every great flight paramedic needs. Welcome to the crew! 🚁 🖤

🚁AirEvac 8 is proud to welcome Danny Furnia, one of our newest Flight Paramedics, to the crew!

Danny began his EMS journey back in 2005 and recently retired from the Fry Fire District after an incredible 20 years of service. He spent two years working in the ER at Banner, and has dedicated his life to serving patients across Southern Arizona.

But who REALLY is Danny?

✨ Married for 15 years with three amazing kids
✨ Lover of great food, and classic American cinema. Quiz him on any movie from the 80’s!
✨ A connoisseur of sitcoms many of you probably forgot existed: King of Queens, Home Improvement, and the criminally underrated aviation-themed gem Wings ✈️
✨ And yes… he became a flight paramedic because it’s the closest thing he could get to being in Top Gun. (We support the dream. 🕶️🔥)

Danny brings experience, heart, humor, and a passion for pre hospital medicine to the AirEvac 8 team, and we’re lucky to have him! 💛🖤

🎅🚁 Special Delivery from the North Pole!

AirEvac 8 was honored to deliver Santa Claus straight to the San Manuel Fire Department—by helicopter, of course! 🎄✨

Huge smiles, holiday cheer, and a little aviation magic made this a Christmas to remember. Thank you to the incredible firefighters at San Manuel FD for everything you do for the community all year long. We’re proud to support you—especially during the holidays. ❤️

✨AE8 spent the day with Redhawk Mine providing a full Landing Zone (LZ) class and aircraft safety training for their team! 🚁

Our goal: keep crews safe, prepared, and confident when seconds matter.
From LZ setup ➡️ to approaching the aircraft ➡️ to emergency coordination — the Redhawk crew crushed it. We enjoyed working with you! 👊

A huge shoutout to the employees for their engagement, great questions, and commitment to safety.
