Hi Facebook Friends,
I've opened my private practice!
If you or anyone you know can use my services please DM me to set up an appointment.

Here's a little bit about me and how I work.

I look forward to hearing from you!

I work with kids, parents and families. My style is based on a person centered approach. I believe in creating a receptive and non judgmental space where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. Our work together is built upon trust, empathy, acceptance and mutual respect. Absolutely no previous art experience is necessary to gain the benefits and enjoy this work.

I have worked for over 15 years providing individual art psychotherapy and group art therapy with children, adults, seniors and families in a variety of settings including private practice, schools, community centers, senior centers and hospitals. I am a Board Certified, Licensed, Registered Art Therapist and NY Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. I hold a graduate degree in Expressive Arts Therapy with a specialization in Art Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge MA. In addition, I have a graduate degree in Early Childhood, Special Education.

CAN WE TALK?

Meta-communicating is a way of communicating about something you have to communicate about. It is like an introduction, setting the stage for what is to come. It's an opener to a difficult conversation.

How do you handle difficult conversations?

______________
Expressive Arts is a discipline of helping and healing that uses the arts as its basis for discovery and change. All five disciplines of the arts: visual, dance/movement, music, drama/theater, and writing/poetry can give you a richer vocabulary to work, play and grow a life you love living.
I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where a supportive and caring relationship is built. A variety of materials are offered including painting, drawing, clay and collage to help access inner feelings and experiences. I utilize both the art experience in conjunction with talk therapy to facilitate self expression, insight, self discovery, change and growth. This unique approach helps people of all ages.
No art experience is necessary, only an openness for self reflection and transformation.
Let me show you how this powerful process of creative expression can help you access, understand and change your life helping you become happier and more fulfilled.
