With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved dog, Blue, who left this world in our loving arms. More than just a pet, Blue was a beacon of comfort and kindness, touching the lives of hundreds as an unofficial therapy dog at the funeral home. His gentle spirit brought solace to grieving families, his presence a quiet reassurance in moments of sorrow.
As our loyal mascot, Blue was more than a companion—he was family. His unwavering love, warm heart, and ever-present support will be missed beyond words. Though he has crossed the rainbow bridge, his legacy of love and healing lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Blue's journey was one of resilience and love. Rescued from a kill shelter at just two years old; after having two previous owners, he finally found his forever home with us. For the next seven years, he became our loyal companion, our mascot, and a friend to everyone he met. His kindness knew no bounds—he was the friendliest dog who would never hurt a fly… except for that one bunny he once tried to catch but mercifully let hop away.
Blue found happiness in life’s simple joys—basking in the sun down the shore in Belmar, taking long walks around Van Saun Park, and bribing everyone and anyone for treats. He adored belly rubs and would show his belly to anyone willing to give him attention—definitely not a guard dog, but the best friend anyone could ask for.
At just eight years old, with his ninth birthday approaching in May, Blue left us too soon. But we take comfort in knowing he has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, where he now runs free, happy and is spoiled with treats!
In Blue’s memory, we ask you to give your dog extra treats and belly rubs, donate to a local animal shelter, and always remember to adopt, not shop.
