You should never stop training just because your back hurts.

This athlete came to us with low back pain that was holding him back from moving the way he wanted.

Instead of telling him to rest forever…
Instead of giving him a random sheet of exercises…
Instead of avoiding anything that challenged his core…

We built a plan around what his body actually needed.

This low bear plank with alternating arm reaches might look simple, but it’s teaching his body how to create stability while his arms move.

That matters for athletes because your core has to do more than just “feel strong” on the floor.

It has to help you run, cut, lift, rotate, and compete without your back taking over.

His pain has improved tremendously, and now we’re rebuilding confidence one controlled rep at a time.

Back pain doesn’t mean you’re broken.

It means your body needs the right plan.

DM us the word BACK if you’re tired of avoiding workouts and want to feel strong again.

Your body has carried a lot.
Pregnancy. Sleepless nights. Feeding. Lifting. Stress. Healing.

And somewhere along the way, a lot of moms stop taking care of themselves because everyone else comes first.

But your kids deserve a mom who feels strong.
A mom who can play on the floor, go on walks, exercise, travel, and move without constantly hurting.

Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish.
It’s part of showing up for the people who matter most.

Take care of yourselves mamas 🩷

Happy Mother’s Day

A lot of moms are told their pelvis is “misaligned” after pregnancy.

But many times, the bigger issue is that the body just doesn’t trust certain movements or loads yet.

Pregnancy and birth change how your body manages pressure, balance, strength, and coordination. So things like lunges, stairs, running, or even standing on one leg can suddenly feel weak, shaky, painful, or awkward.

That doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means your body needs to rebuild confidence in movement again.

Instead of constantly trying to “realign” the pelvis, treatment should focus on:

• Restoring confidence in movement
• Improving movement and loading
• Breathing and pressure control
• Single-leg stability
• Hip and core strength/coordination
• Slowly getting back to meaningful activities

This exercise works on glute medius strength to help improve pelvic control and stability during single-leg movements like lunges, walking, and running.

Save this for later and send it to a mom who says “my body just feels different after birth.”

Most shoulder problems lifting overhead aren’t actually coming from the shoulder itself.

They’re coming from poor control of your shoulder blade.

This is one of my go-to drills to start rebuilding that control.

How to:
* Push the slider up the wall as you rotate your torso in the opposite direction.
* Think about moving from your shoulder blade.

✅ Save for when you need it most

Most people try to “protect” their knee out of pain.

Less movement. Less load. More rest.

But the knee doesn’t get stronger that way.

It gets less prepared.

The people who actually get back to running, lifting, and workouts?
They rebuild their tolerance to load—gradually, intentionally, and without jumping straight into the deep end.

You don’t need perfect form.
You don’t need zero pain.

You need the right entry point and a plan to build from it.

If your knee flares up every time you try to get back into it, that’s not a “bad knee”… that’s a load management problem.

DM us “KNEE” and we’ll help you map it out.

Most people mess this up.

They feel knee pain with squatting… and immediately stop completely.

No squats. No loading. No stimulus.

Then wonder why it never actually improves.

Here’s the reality:

Pain doesn’t automatically mean “stop forever.”
It usually means “you’re asking for more than your knee currently tolerates.”

Big difference.

Instead of avoiding it… you need to adjust it.

Completely avoiding squats = your knee never adapts
Smart loading = your knee builds tolerance again

Tissues need load to heal and get stronger.

If squatting has been frustrating your knee, you’re probably not broken…

You just haven’t found your current starting point yet.

DM us “KNEE” and we’ll help you figure it out.

Our patients tell us it’s not just about missing a workout…
it’s about missing the moments that come with it.

The laughs between sets.
The competition that pushes you.
The feeling of being part of something.

Instead, you’re the one saying “I’ll sit this one out.”
Or modifying everything while everyone else moves freely.
Or worse… just not showing up at all.

Nothing has seemed to help.

But no one actually looked at why your body keeps breaking down when you push it.

At Momentum Spine and Sport, we do things differently.
We don’t give cookie-cutter plans or tell you to stop doing what you love.
We find the real reason your pain keeps showing up… and fix it at the source.

So you can get back to training with your friends… without hesitation.

DM us the word FRIENDS and let’s get you back to moving the way you’re supposed to.

Do your hips always feel tight no matter how much you stretch?

Our patients tell us their hip issues don’t just show up in workouts… it follows them into runs, lifts, and even simple daily movement.

They’ve tried stretching.
They’ve tried foam rolling.
They’ve been told their hips are just “tight.”

But nothing actually fixes it.

Because no one ever showed them what’s really going on.

Here’s the truth most people miss…
Your hip issue usually isn’t just a hip problem.

That’s exactly why we’re hosting this:
