It's Turkey Trot Wednesday at John Knox Village! This morning, over 50 residents participated in our annual Turkey Trot around the Village. The weather was perfect for this fun run/walk.

We’re excited to share some big news from John Knox Village of Central Florida!

We’ve officially acquired CERTUS Premier Memory Care at 675 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Orange City. Opened in 2018, this beautiful, secured memory care community features 64 private suites in a warm, neighborhood-style setting—complete with inviting amenities like a theater, fitness center, salon, bistro, post office, library, and private dining spaces.

With this addition, John Knox Village now offers 109 licensed memory care beds, significantly expanding our ability to support individuals living with memory-related conditions. Our existing Majestic Oaks complex—home to private rehab rooms, skilled nursing, and memory care—will also complete a $3.5 million renovation in early 2026.

“This expansion is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality of care,” said Joseph Trainor, Chief Administrative Officer. “By broadening our comprehensive care offerings, we further advance our vision to be the premier provider and employer of choice in Central Florida.”

Residents of John Knox Village are currently rehearsing for the upcoming Stetson Choral Union on November 25 at Stetson Baptist Church. The concert will feature Dan Forrest's Jubilate Deo, directed by Stetson University Professor of Music, Dr. Timothy Peter, a renowned figure in the choral music community.

The Stetson Choral Union, with its rich history spanning over a hundred years, has been a vibrant part of our community, involving both students and community members.

Jubilate Deo ("O be joyful in the Lord"), premiered in 2016 by the Indianapolis Children's Choirs, is a contemporary, large-scale work for choir and orchestra that sets Psalm 100 in seven different languages. The piece is a celebration of diversity, uniting cultures by setting the text in Latin, Hebrew and Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Zulu, and Spanish, in addition to English. The structure and music draw from a broad spectrum of musical influences, making it a truly global celebration of joy.
