The Medical Receptionist, Front Desk/ Check Out actively supports and promotes the company’s values and will be under the direction of the Practice Manager.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them upon arrival to the office or via telephone
• Assists with coordination of patients, including preparation of electronic patient charts and pertinent medical records
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying the clinical staff of patient arrival, delays and communicates updates to patients
• Responsible for accuracy and completion of paperwork
• Scans medical records into patient charts as necessary
• Monitors and screens incoming phone calls and messages, while maintaining a polite consistent phone manner
• Collects patient information including personal and financial information such as copayment or coinsurance
• Abides by HIPAA laws and regulations regarding personal medical information
• Maintains organization and efficiency of front office, including office supply inventory
• Triage complex situations to the office manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
* 2 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE IN HEALTHCARE RECEPTION
• Works independently with minimum supervision
• Strong Customer Service and communication skills
• Basic computer efficiency (word, e-mail, EMR, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance

WORK HOURS/ SHIFT:
• Job is Full time Monday-Friday

Medical assistant wanted for primary care office-Adults and children.

Taking patient vital signs, rooming patients, medication authorizations, checking out patients, giving patients injections and assisting in small office procedures.

Strong work ethic needed. Reliable transportation. This position is part time for the first few weeks and will then move to a full time position.
