Jesus saved my life. Tears roll down my face as I am able to write this.
I grew up knowing about Jesus, grew up in a church that betrayed my trust and my foundation in faith. I then pulled away and turned to new age spirituality to find some kind of purpose and understanding of the creation of life. Last year, down the same week, same day, I found myself so lost. Barely holding on, God revealed himself to myself and my husband. Last year, I lost my dog, almost lost my marriage and husband to addiction, I become sick and had to leave a mama during transition, found myself in the er, my son went through a medical emergency, and two people incredibly close and dear to my heart almost lost their lives. All within 4 weeks! For the first time in my life I witnessed the work of the devil, and how he was part of nearly every part of our lives. I found myself closer to the face of death than life, and I didn’t think I would see any of it through. However, through the darkness time, I saw the grace and mercy of God. Witnessing a miracle, witnessing a loved one coming back to life, I begged God to save my family, to save me, to save my marriage, and we accepted Jesus into our lives. Grateful to say we stand here a year later happier, healthier, and healing. To stand here exactly a year later, to see all the miracle’s God has performed not only in my life, but to hear the testimonies of those in my community we have surrounded ourselves with, is the most affirming experience. Since becoming a follower, our life has grown and expanded in so many ways and the blessing keep coming.
Our faith in Jesus grows stronger and stronger each day. So many hardships and yet having to stand strong and courageous in our faith, even though life can feel and look scary, has so many unknowns unfold.
I remember a few years back being so lost in my faith, I found myself mocking Jesus and the story of his resurrection. Proud to be standing on the other side of his mercy and praising his perfect life; and the greatest sacrifice he made for me.
Thank you Jesus for your love and the greatest sacrifice!
He has risen ✝️
