In 1865, freedom reached the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth reminds us that progress delayed is still progress demanded—and our work continues.

Join the Orange County Black Solidarity Network for A Juneteenth Celebration, an evening rooted in reflection, storytelling, and forward movement. This gathering brings together voices that challenge, inspire, and help shape a more just and equitable future for our community.

We are honored to welcome Arshay Cooper as our evening keynote sharing a powerful story of resilience, courage, and collective rise. The evening will also feature a dynamic author panel including Dr. Kecia Alexander, Martha Daniel, and Dr. Mel Palmer, each bringing perspective and leadership grounded in impact.

🗓 Thursday, June 4, 2026
🕟 Reception: 4:30 PM | Program: 5:30 PM
📍 Arts & Learning Conservatory, Costa Mesa

This is more than a celebration. It’s a moment to connect, to reflect, and to recommit to the work of advancing equity and strengthening community.

Register (required) today and be part of the movement.
