Erica is a vibrant force for healing, empowerment, and ancestral wisdom. A proud Jacksonville native, she lives with her partner and their three beautiful daughters. She’s a dancer, a music head, and a Leo through and through—bringing generosity, passion, and infectious enthusiasm into everything she does.

As a Full Spectrum Doula, Erica walks with families through every season—from understanding the moon cycle and navigating fertility to birth, postpartum, and loss. She is also a skilled placenta encapsulation specialist, deeply committed to holistic and traditional practices that restore balance and well-being.

In her work as a Wholistic Herbal Wellness Facilitator, Erica empowers individuals to align their body, mind, and spirit through plant-based healing. She believes that wellness is not just a physical journey—but a spiritual and emotional one, too.

We are now apart of the HOLISTIC DOULA COMMUNITY.

I promise to stay dedicated to my community and to learning so that I remain knowledgeable and skilled.

Not one year serving in L&D was wasted, especially when your leader (nurse manager) looks like you and is just as passionate about our facility giving quality care to our patients.

I AM not new to birth work, birth edu, or advocacy concerning birth, but I AM walking into a new season where I AM trying to bridge the gap between doulas and L&D units because WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER!!!

So whether I’m serving in the hospital as an employee 1-2 days a week, serving a client according to my contract, a community doula, or running my doula business—THE GOAL FOR ME REMAINS THE SAME; BETTER BIRTHING EXPERIENCES FOR MY COMMUNITY!!!

So0o0oooo many of y’all DO NOT know this, but I prepared for Z’s birth once I accepted the fact that 1. I was pregnant again for real because the timing wasn’t at all what I would’ve chosen for our family (though we were married and stable) and 2. He was a HE (IYKYK) I had purchased girl stuff and had a name and all monogrammed on stuff just being crazy… I legit grieved for weeks. My husband got concerned and so was I because I was feeling things I knew my baby would feel but I needed to go through the grieving process to process. I “may” share the story behind the moment it all changed for me and my heart, instantly but not now, So ANYWAY- I prepared myself for Z’s birth with christian hypnobirthing.

Although carrying him was way more difficult than carrying G’s (which could be subjective if you know his womb journey) it was the most PEACEFUL journey and I started contracting at 20w for real, at ROC 2x a week, had to get betamethasone to develop his lungs because we were at risk to be preterm AND WAS, although I was put on bed rest and STILL in triage at least 3x.

I work on an PHENOMENAL L&D unit, so I was very much cared for and got the princesse treatment, my ANM barely wanted me to get up to use the restroom because the boy would show out bad.

I made up in my mind that regardless of what was happening around me and with us that I was going to carry him in my womb in PEACE, and when I birthed him, it would be in PEACE and it was just as I prepared. I had a playlist of worship music I listened to daily, cards with scriptures on them concerning labor, delivery, birth, fear, peace, pain, etc that I would read out loud, daily and more.

My newest client will get that luxury experience and guide from me as a service FREE.

***Your Pregnancy, Labor, and Birth DO NOT have to be chaotic or scary…

My goal is to help REDEFINE BIRTHING experiences 1 client at a time, as a contracted doula or the entrepreneur Redefined Birthing DOULA Services.

-God said, “Exceedingly and Abundantly all that I can ask or think….” Right?! Yea! 🤌🏾✨🙌🏾

When your client who’s a mom of multiple children says to you, “I wish I would’ve had you for all of my births.” “I felt validated, supported, and heard.” “My entire experience was amazing.”

Me: “You are my why.” 🥹

It was never about the money… It’s always been bigger than me; it’s HEART work.
