I had such a great time speaking at SCRUBFEST 2023 at Scrubland Farmz with David The Good (thesurvivalgardener.com ) Randall K White, The Urban Harvest, and the other wonderful experts all sharing their knowledge.

I mentioned during my talk that I do a week-long Cleansing Fast (followed by a Liver Flush) twice per year and I'm about to start my second one for 2023. If anyone is interested in learning how to do it, I'm inviting you to do it along with me.

October 14th is almost here. Since this is our 2nd Scrubfest, we decided that we needed twice as many presentations as we had the 1st year. Six truly talented experts in their fields are ready and eager to share their information. We're covering a broad spectrum with these speakers. No matter if in a rural setting, urban environment, if you're growing a full blown Food Forest, maybe even an orchard or container gardening, it will all be covered here. I would strongly recommend bringing a notebook and pen. The classes will go on rain or shine. We have a canopy big enough for everyone to be under should it turn out to be not the best weather conditions. I can't tell you how honored we are to host an event of this magnitude. It's mind blowing that hundreds of like minded people, all coming together for 1 day because we know how important it is to learn how to grow our own food. A better question IMO is … “Why are we politicizing the effort to be healthier?”
I have a follow-up post coming about “seed oils” - I have eliminated them almost completely from my diet to the degree that it’s possible. The reason being, I’ve looked at the evidence and made an educated decision.
I am not identified with a side or a party. I’m an independent human who simply wants to maximize my enjoyment of life by feeling strong, capable, flexible, self-sufficient, mobile … you get the point. It’s weird that there seems to be some demonization of anyone who dares to make health a top priority. In true “curious human” fashion, I ask myself “What reason would anyone have to do this? Who or what stands to gain from taking this position?”
I won’t ruminate in a social media caption but I’d love to hear the thoughts of any of you health obsessed(or even interested) folks out there. What’s behind this, do you think?
