We would like to recognize Mr. Butch. We had the pleasure to chat with him today while EMS was working hard on extrication. He is a dedicated and active member of the Volunteer Fire service in Clarendon County Fire Rescue. He has been in the Fire Department for 43 years and still runs calls at 2am if needed. THANK YOU Mr. Butch for your dedication and kindness. We appreciate the fire service for always showing up!

Orangeburg County EMS Leads the Way in Trauma Care!

We’re proud to announce that Orangeburg County EMS has officially implemented and used TraumaGel for the first time in the field today — making us the first EMS agency in the state to utilize this groundbreaking product in a real emergency situation!

TraumaGel is a revolutionary advancement in prehospital medicine, designed to rapidly control bleeding and improve patient outcomes at the scene. This innovative treatment gives us a powerful new tool to help save lives when every second counts.
Being the first in South Carolina to bring this level of care to our patients is a testament to our commitment to staying on the cutting edge of emergency medicine and doing everything we can for the people we serve.

With the support of the citizens, county council and the county administrator, EMS is continually improving our services, staffing level and response times to the over 1100 square miles we serve from the Aiken County line to the Berkeley County line and all the areas in between. We also want to give a thank you to our partners at MUSC!
