Hopp’s for Adoption

Alan and myself Jessica have had to make some really hard decision because of some not great news but all of these conversations have lead us to really wanting a little brother or sister for Raylan and the chance to expand our family! We are officially in the search for a surrogate. We do not want to go through an agency. We are hoping to find someone that we know or even get to know on such a deeper level.

I really have to “morn” the fact that I will never get the change to be pregnant and I am still trying to accept it. With that, I am hoping to be 100% involved in the process and even have some hopes and wishes for how it will go. So the process it’s self of finding the right fit may take a while and we fully understand that, which is why we are starting the search now!

Well the last couple weeks have been quite the whirlwind, but we are so so happy to announce we have adopted the most amazing baby boy. Our fertility and adoption journey has been such a struggle but it has all led up to our amazing son. We are so honored to be his parents and look forward to the journey ahead.

I will admit I am not the best at posting, honestly I’m just not good at using social media in general but I wanted to give a little update on our family.

We are still waiting for our perfect kiddo to join our family but while we patiently wait we are making moves in the Hopp household. Tomorrow is my last day at UC Davis and I will officially be a business owner and a private practice lactation consultant. I am very excited and very nervous. This will allow me to have a small amount of extra time to get more involved with the community as well as hopefully mom time. This year is our year, I can feel it deep in my bones! We look forward to all that’s coming in 2022 🥳

We hope everyone has an amazing Christmas celebrating with friends and family. Our Christmas looks very different this year since my brother, sister in law and the kids moved to Nevada. We have spent every single Christmas with them until this year. I’m sad I do not get to see the excitement from the kids when they wake up and see Santa came!

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I have posted… we just got back from Disneyland celebrating Alan’s birthday, we got to act like kids for 4 days! I will tell you there is nothing like making you long to be parents like going to Disneyland without kids. It was so fun watching all the kiddos reactions around us though.

First off I can’t believe we made it to midnight with out passing out on the couch!
As we spend our final minutes in 2020 we reflect on our busy year and what blessing we have had. We are looking forward to 2021 and what it will bring

We are trying to be as prepared as possible just in case we are blessed with a quick match. We are looking for lightly used baby gear (preferably gender neutral) we do have quite a few things already from when I was a May out of my home but always looking for stuff to add. Thank you in advance.
